We had to replace our kitchen wall phone. We could not find anything locally in a store..everything was wall mountable...but not a wall phone...So we turned to Amazon...read many reviews on this phone.. alot of the reviews said the bell ring was so soft couldn't hear it... Not in our case...can hear it ring all over our house from the kitchen (even when we are watching TV in the living room). And the set up....2 seconds...it had a jack that just plugged into the original jack set in by AT&T 10 years ago...just plugged in had a little bit of spring to hook on easily.our shipper was excellent as well...good price and got it fast...Ant was the shipper....and guess what the instructions were written in English...the whole booklet...so I assume..American made..Hope so...The only thing we got not in the picture was a little red message button light on the top, it flashes when the phone rings...I guess it may be set up for someone that has a second phone located in the house that can send messages...not sure..even the cord was long enough to sit at the kitchen counter comfortably and have a conversation....Thank goodness for Amazon!

I'm not very impressed with my experience with this product. I first bought a Cortelco in 2012 but it stopped working after about a year, so I purchased a replacement in 2013. The warranty was over so I had to buy a new phone, but this one was affordable. I thought perhaps this particular phone dying was a rarety; most of the reviews were great. My replacement has lasted almost 2 years but has died, too. Like its predecessor, it has stopped ringing and when I pick up the receiver, there is no dial tone. When other phones are plugged into the jack they work, so it isn't the line. There was also no volume control as advertised. Lastly, when it worked, the line often had static, making the call so difficult to hear I would have to end the call. Not always, perhaps 1 out of 4 or 5 calls. Sometimes wriggling the cord and/or standing very still helped.When I make purchases I like the product to last as long as possible. Often I'll have something for decades before it's replaced. I do need to replace this phone and I'm going to try my luck with another manufacturer.

This would have been a great wall phone for the wall jack I already had in the kitchen, except for the fact that the plastic rest for the receiver DOESN'T FIT! [It does hang up the phone, though.)That is really shabby, as the originals had metal rests that fit. How can you screw that up? Using pictures from a catalog or something? Again, shabby.Also, with Verizon voip, the red light doesn't work. Actually, I'm not positive it even has a functioning bulb/lamp in it. OK, I checked and it has something but the nut on the case and the 'connection' are both covered in some glue, so I doubt it really would work.Too much trouble to return, but it does work as a telephone, and at least the pegs are spaced properly for US wall jack.But for the handset to not fit in the cradle properly is really not good.

This vintage style telephone is awesome and the kids cannot loose the handset like they did with the cordless phones we had. Loud ringer and adjustable volume is a great feature!

I purchased this phone a while back. I received the phone with red light on top and I didn’t know it had the light but none of that matters because the phone was hollow. No wiring inside so it is worthless. Very disappointing.

I bought this phone to cover the ugly wall jack in my kitchen. It is an art piece not a functioning phone, in my house. love the retro look!

got this phone today there is no ringer in the phone.....the mounting jack for the wall jack was missing.......go several missed call's because i didnt know that it didnt have a ringer............even the red light didnt work............all its good for is to hear dial tone when you lift the receilver....

Just received this phone today. Replaced the one that was on the wall and didn't have to mess with trying to work around a 3" adapting cord! Plugged directly into the wall socket. Awesome. We then called ourselves from a different phone and the red light went off with the ringer. Voices are clear and the handset is comfortable. I also purchased the 25' cord to go with it and it works just fine.
