DO NOT PURCHASE THESE!! Only got 1 star, because I couldn't give zero stars
I bought this, and even after reading the reviews, I thought I would be safe. Well I should have heeded the warning! Just about burned my 2hp motor on my milling machine after 3 min of running time. Absolutely no help from the seller at all. And told me that it " would technically not damage the motor, if it was running too hot" and now will not respond to any of my emails at all. Once they have your money, they don't care. Please, do yourself a favor, and don't gamble on these. Find a more reputable seller and don't get burned like I did. Balance rates on every aspect were way out on voltage and amperage! I read several reviews that stated this same thing, and I thought, "ah, must be just a bad unit" but nope. Don't risk it!!

This will ruin your motor!!
I went this route over a VFD simply for the ease of install and that was a mistake. This is wired the same way as a static converter so no need to redo the wiring to and in your drum switch to work with a vfd, simply wire U to 1, V to 2, and W to 3. I did all that and the motor spun at maybe 30 rpm so i turned it off and began trouble shouting, Double check wiring first and it was correct. Next I checked voltage to ground output and things got crazy. It was feeding 2 legs 120 and the third was all over the place from 12-180 volts. When i checked voltage across the 3 legs to each other it confirmed it. I wrote the seller with my findings and they didn't even address the voltage issue. They told me to keep trying different variations of wiring and that i would eventually succeed lol. I'm embarrassed to say that I did try that but had the same results. My motor is good and i believe this unit was defective with the phase sequence not working and the voltage balance also not working.
