Finally, a solution for plant eating deer!
Finally, a solution that really works to stop the deer from eating my annuals! I have made numerous attempts to keep the deer from eating my landscape plants and flowers. This year, I only planted “deer resistant” annuals, yet the deer still ate them. The smelly sprays are expensive consumables that wash off with my automatic sprinkler that waters every other day. The deer became accustomed to the contraptions with ultrasonic sirens and red flashing lights. I have even covered many of my flowering plants with chicken wire, but the deer just rip that out. The Critter Ridder motion-sensing sprinkler is the answer. The sprinkler detects motion and shoots a 5 second burst of water in an adjustable arc. The Critter Ridder motion-detecting sprinklers can be daisy-chained together with multiple hoses so you can protect your entire perimeter. I have mine set up on a hose timer to only go off between 1:00 and 5:00 in the morning so my precious Amazon delivery person doesn’t get drenched. I set up my Birdfy camera to capture the panic the Critter Ridder causes to the deer that used to visit my property every night. Once the sprinkler shoots for 5 seconds, it resets and will shoot again and again. Setting it up was very quick and easy and it is in no way harmful to the deer. Please watch my attached video of one of my Critter Ridder motion-detecting sprinklers in action.

Check for leaks as hose need to be connected continuously.
Excellent, keeps deer and critters out of my garden. Needs to be checked periodically for hoses leaks and strong winds will set it off. Works so well I purchased another.

Works OK until they break - which may not take long to happen
Pros: - work OK while they work - uses AA instead of 9-volt Cons: - they don't have a "night only" settings like some slightly more expensive ones. - they crap out. I've had TWO crap out this week (out of about 10 I have purchased) and when they crapped out they stayed ON. Even if I set the switch to OFF. I only have water running to dusk to dawn+, so they only wasted 10 hours worth of water a night. Glad I was not on vacation. TWO this week, and I've got at least ANOTHER two that I couldn't use this year because, when I brought them out of the basement in the spring, put in batteries and tested them, they were dead. That's about $200 wasted -- and deer getting into the garden costs a lot ,ore than that. - they are not as loud as their chief competitor - they are not quite as tall as their chief competitor so better for use on grass than in any kind of naturalized garden

This one will work.
I have used this type of device to keep deer and squirrels out of my garden for 20 years. On the whole manufacturer’s have raced each other to the bottom of being cheap over being durability. That said, this unit has better sensitivity than other units I have used in the past. It also uses much less water during activation. However it has a quieter activation which for a critter deterrent is not as good a thing. Louder the better. But it has worked ok. Yes, it all plastic. Yes, you have to be careful to not over-tighten connections but get it tight enough to not leak. It also uses AA batteries which is new to me but so far has not run down in the month I’ve had it running. Lastly, the sprinkler mode might work for some but not for me. It shoots little darts of water. Not much at all, like I mentioned above. It could run all day and not water my garden. But I didn’t buy it for that. And the little drops go about 40 feet. Deer hate it. Overall, so far so good. Update: Worked well all summer and fall as a deer deterrent only using 1 set of AA batts I which is much cheaper than a nine volt. Now we’ll see if it still works next year after being stored this winter. So far so good. I am happy with it. New update 2022: worked fine this new gardening year. A new set of batteries and still sensitive as ever. Only problem is the plastic stop on the on switch has broken internally but it still works ok. I just marked where the minuscule dot on the switch is with a marker and that worked to know where it’s at at a glance. The knob can now go all the way around now but it works anyway since it a double sided switch knob. Sorry, electronic lingo there but it’s not broken. So far so good! Happy with it! 2023. Loaded batteries and it working just fine again starting year three. Ya!

We got a few chickens. All was going well until they found our garden. Not even a vegetable garden. Apparently chickens love hydrangeas, like really love them. We went online to our chicken groups to find out what to do, apparently the only option was to fence the chickens in. I didn't like that option. I was about to find out if my kids liked the chickens more than my wife liked the flowers. I found this and we got it. Worked like an absolute charm. The chickens were very upset, but I will say they were fast leaners. Surprisingly, they only tried for a few days and haven't been back. The sprinkler is still there, but isn't even on anymore because they haven't been back. It also isn't on because everytime we had company over, they would get sprayed. I have a camera on that side of the house, I should actually take those videos and make my own YouTube channel and retire....

Really good and works very well. but don't use it for small areas. on the lowest configuration, the small splashes can reach about 4m, and for me it's hitting a glass door which is bad for me, but the product itself is amazing

El producto es bueno y funcional, fácil de armar, seria estupendo si la batería fuese solar. Es necesaria una buena presión en la línea de abastecimiento para que funcione plenamente.

Installed multiples around the compound and she has yet to breach the perimeter without getting a dose! Highly recommend. As a bonus feature it also keeps unwanted critters away.

Unfortunately, there are no temperature range defined in data sheet. We had snow and next morning the pipe burst when water wanted to spray when the sensor was activated by movement. This is hard to believe as this is a Canadian product where snow is the order of the day during winter season. Extremely disappointed as this product lasted not even 3 months.
