A versatile and useful sun canopy
I've spent a while researching and looking at different sun canopy's for our camper van. Something that is quick and easy to put up but man enough to cope with British camping weather - so sun, rain and winds then (probably all in one day). The Wild Earth canopy certainly fits the bill. We've only used it for one trip so far, but found it easy to put up - especially with two people - might be more fiddly if you are doing it alone, but certainly not impossible. It's also really quick to pack down as well, all disappearing into a small bag that is ideal for storing permanently in the van. So likes and dislikes: Likes: Easy to put up (we have a multi-rail which makes a simple a reliable connection between the van and the canopy). Nice and large coverage - kept our camp of table, chairs and large dog bed well protected. Kept the inevitable rain off! Good secure lines provided (bright green for visibility) - so was stable even in a gusty breeze Quiet - didn't 'snap' or billow too much in wind which means you can leave it out all night and sleep well! Lots of configurations of pole lengths and canopy angles possible - although kept pretty basic for our first tries Dislikes: Nothing so far, would be good to see how well it holds up in more challenging weather and to ensure it has a reliable and long life. But so far so good.

Good
This would be a 5 start review but the canopy let's itself down with the rubbish pegs. First time I used it I awoke to it flapping in the wind and all my chairs wet. The pegs had gotten ripped out of the ground by the wind. The problem is that the pegs supply all the support to the poles. If they fail then the whole thing collapses. I used it again with better pegs and it performed as expected. Mind you it was not windy at all. This is a fair weather cannopy don't expect it to work in high winds and sideways rain. Time will tell how long this will last but the canopy itself seems well made.

Better than Fiamma
I had my Fiamma awning stolen off my VW Transporter camper, and so I replaced it with this. It's bigger, cheaper, lighter, as easy to erect, more secure and it doesn't rattle or interfere with the air flow over the vehicle - so fuel economy will improve. It's more robust too as you can add guy ropes midway down each side which improves the geometry of the whole - a curved rather than just a flat surface. And it packs away to next to nothing, well almost. It's a joy!

Could be better and cheaper
This little awning does the job, however it nearly did not as the item turned up with some of the poles (3) being dented at the edge so they did not fit into each other and the guy ropes were not threaded right so they would not tighten. Despite this I managed to straighten the poles ends and rethread the guy ropes and then it worked a treat. The pegs are flimsy and bend easily to the point I have to buy more after using it twice and the poles are flimsy but did withstand storm floris so can’t complain about that. Worth £90 im not so sure.

Perfect good quality easy to attach and erect
This was super easy too put up & dismantle, mistake iade was not checking guy ropes were ready otherwise it was grand , had a real heavy download or rain and although it had gathered it was easy to tip off, if I'd put it up more efficiently in daylight I'd not expect the rain to create the pool. Otherwise cracking bit kit simple easy to transport and comes in a spacious but tidy bag for carriage. I've no regrets purchasing and if need be I'd purchase another in the far future..

canopy
Very happy with the canopy looking foreward to using the canopy when the sun comes out.

Not for UK weather
Very light and flimsy - not for British weather. Aluminium pegs not fit for purpose, too soft and easily bent. Probably okay for ambient continental weather and soft ground.

Ok. Asked for a certain size in one direction. Width X Length. Got it the opposite way around, Not a big deal, we're only talking 500mm. The colour isn't what I asked for. Apart from that, The product is light and easy to use. A side note, Maybe if they offered the rail you need to install on your vehicle if you don't have it would be awesome. I found one, installed and looks fine. The bag and gear is light, the ropes for holding up the poles are bright, so good visibility. The poles are a little light. I think I will get a heavier gauge to take the load. But the ones supplied will suffice for the moment.
