I’ve ordered this specific chain 3 times. Prior to this was Jan/Feb 2022. Ive worn those 2 chains over 1+ year, NEVER taking them off. Aside from a tiny kink here or there, they’ve been perfect. I’ve swam, sweated, showered, colored/ bleached my hair, accidentally sprayed perfume on them etc & the 10k yellow gold is still perfect because it isn’t plated, filled or dipped. I have them & they’re still yellow gold. I received this chain, which is the 3rd I’ve ordered on March 8th 2023 & immediately put it on my god daughter. March 13th 2023 was 5 days of having the necklace & it is fully tarnished, ready for the trash. All she has done is shower. No extra or out of the ordinary chemicals, mild soap & shampoo, not even lotion or perfume. It has the appearance of a copper or brass chain plated in gold & worn in a highly chlorinated swimming pool. The ONLY gold left on this necklace is the clasp. If we’d broken it already, then, ya know that’s the risk taken with such a thin chain. At this affordable price Id just get another but this is different & at no fault of our own. I noticed the chain looked “dark” on her neck on day 5 & asked to see it .. Once I asked questions, it was brought to my attention that the chain lost its color before the 1st shower; my god daughter just didn’t say anything for fear of seeming ungrateful. IF I hadn’t noticed, she may have not said anything at all. The evening of the 8th the chain arrived & we immediately put it on her. She says the morning of the 9th the necklace had already started tarnishing. The ONLY time I’ve experienced this is when I purchased a random rose gold PLATED sterling silver necklace & forgot to take it off before bed.. When I woke, all of the rose gold was gone & the silver had began to oxidize.. The experience made me go back to check the order for this chain to make sure I ordered 10k yellow gold.. I NEVER leave bad reviews, I barely leave reviews & on the previous order I left 5 stars but this chain is NOT the same quality that I’ve received before & feel it should be replaced.

I bought this for my young son’s gold cross pendant. It fits him perfectly and is so pretty. He’s been wearing it for weeks and it has held up to him.

Most of the time when I see a negative review, I admit I assume misuse on the part of the owner, but holy cow. This morning I put the chain on with a very small, lightweight pendant I recently purchased. I noticed that the clasp was kind of too strong. After wearing it while I got ready, I decided I didn't like the length or the chain type for this particular pendant, so I went to take it off and prepare it for a return, and it came off surprisingly easily...THE CLASP WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN.This is a poor design. The strength of the clasp mechanism is too much for how dainty it is, so my best guess is that it breaks very easily as a result. I have small, skinny fingers, and it was tough to use even for me. I had been hoping this would work, since I wanted 10k to match the pendant, but I'll be returning this chain, and purchasing another one from Jewlpire. I have a nice box chain from there that I would have used if the loop had fit through the bail. I recommend anyone seeing this does the same.

I am quite pleased with my little gold chain. I wasn't certain when I ordered it if it would be sturdy enough to look right and strong enough either - for my grandmother's pendant that I wear all the time - but it is! It is doing a fine job and has been for a good while now. I don't ever take it off and it has been worry free for me. It doesn't look wrong either - it is fine and looks right with the pendant. Nice chain : )Added 6/2021: still beautiful. I had to take it off for an X-Ray, not the MRI, the tech knew it was gold! I misplaced it and am ordering another as cannot be without this! .7mm 16" is perfect for me and I'm in 6 0s - don't hesitate to try - it's a lovely chain!7/1/21 just received my new chain. I only bought the new one because I misplaced the first one. I love this little chain! Perfect length and though dainty it is very strong and looks right with my pendant.* I have one wish and it is that the clasp were a lobster claw. The tiny clasp is almost a deal breaker for me.

I was tired of my gold plated chains tarnishing after a few weeks, so I figured it was time to invest in a solid gold one. I've been wearing this one every day for about 2 months now and it's still going strong. I've been able to wear it all day — even in the shower — without any sign of wear, which is of course exactly what I hoped and expected from a real gold chain. It is very thin, so I do take care to avoid it being tugged on too hard, but it's been sturdy so far. It's held up through a few accidentally-harder-than-anticipated-yanks without issue.My only gripe about this chain is that the clasp is incredibly teeny tiny. I get that it's a result of how thin the chain itself is, but it's very difficult to open. I've been putting on and taking off necklaces daily for years, and I still struggle for about 5-10 minutes each time I try to put this necklace on. If for any reason you struggle with fine motor control or have trouble holding very tiny things, you may want to look elsewhere.

The necklace is what I ordered, but I did not realize how thin it was so unfortunately, I had to return it. Very delicate and pretty tho. I also had hard time opening the clasp. The opening of the clasp was too small for me to connect to the rest of the necklace.

This is a great replacement chain. I received a custom necklace and the chain was so thin and cheap it broke within a week and also started to tarnish. I bought this to replace it, wear it 24/7 and it’s held up so so well. Just bought another of the same for a different necklace.

It’s just what I wanted! Feminine and dainty and the perfect length.

Chain is very thin and very tiny closing clasp. Also pickup of returned article never happened. Had to contact Amazon directly to at arrange for return.
