Go down a size! *by D***Y on June 29, 2022* I have recently been wearing Luna sandals. While they offer different styles and treads, the Mono Winged is their go-to, all-purpose sandal. If in doubt, get this model. Size down! Luna sandals tend to run a little small, and the huarache style works best with as little material around the feet as possible. I wear a size 10 in shoes, I had to get a size 8 for these to be comfortable. And keep the straps snug, not tight. If they are too tight, they will push your foot to either side and the sandal will not be aligned properly. A snug fit, enough to fit a finger between your foot and strap, is what you want. That lets your foot move naturally and will keep them aligned on the sandal. As is common with huaraches, it will take a little time to break them in and find a strap placement that works for you. It can be frustrating but keep at it, once you get it, you never have to adjust them again. Overall, great sandals. They are expensive but the quality is good. The Vibram sole is very durable and a great choice for everyday wear and lightweight hiking.
