I returned this product due to the very high temperatures this cord reached. The connection between the female 12 volt cigarette lighter outlet and the male 12 volt plug to the cooler reached such a high temperature that the female outlet deformed into an oval shape. This behavior commenced from the first time I used this cord.Previously, I had no issues with the 40 quart cooler on DC power.Maybe my product was defective in some way.
