great OBD2/bluetooth device, works with iPhone/iOS
I've been using this for nine months so far, and it works great! I use this on an iPhone. You do need to purchase software for this, but it should work with many OBD2 apps. I use OBD Fusion ($10), and it works nicely, letting you customize your app dashboard, read and clear codes, etc. This app has a fast-response mode, which drains your phone battery faster, but gives you even faster than the standard speed. (Standard is probably one update per second.) This device has no problem keeping up. This device is low-profile, and of course doesn't have any wires to plug in -- you just plug in the device itself, and it gets power from the OBD2 port. (All cars in the U.S. since I think 1996 have to have standard OBD2 ports.) I use this on a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII and a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. No problems switching between vehicles. My only disappointment is that I was hoping there was a power switch, or that it would automatically shut off after shutting off the car, so I could leave it plugged in without draining the battery. But it stays on the whole time -- you can't connect when the key isn't in the "run" position, but it still gets at least enough power to keep flashing the LEDs. I've accidentally left it plugged in a couple times, and it's not enough draw to kill the battery overnight, but I still wouldn't want to leave it plugged in all the time. (Obviously, this was not a big enough problem for me to lower my rating.) Oh, and speaking of the LEDs, they're easy to see when you're looking at the device, but they're not distracting for me when driving, because the OBD2 ports on both my vehicles are under the dash, so you can't see the lights at all when driving, even in your peripheral vision. I suspect most cars are like that, but if you can directly see your OBD2 port when driving, you might end up putting electrical tape or something over this to hide the lights.

Highly recommend
I bought this two years ago and it still works great. I recommend using the ActiveOBD app for it. I recently needed to be able to get a readout of my CVT temp for an upcoming towing trip and I was able to do that with this OBD II reader and this app. It does everything I need it to do and more. For the price, you can't beat it.

Works with TripLog app.
Bought this to improve mileage tracking with the TripLog app. I tried the Veepeak first and it didn’t work. This one connected right away and gives me way better tracking results. Also works with my OBD II software.

Stopped working after 2 weeks.
Update: 2-21-17. Upgraded to 4 stars. Company reached out and sent me a new device before receiving mine back. We're on day 1 but its as advertised. Will update if changes. Ok.. i tried reaching out to them before writing a review. Mine stopped working after a couple of weeks.. Worked great up until it stopped connecting. I have a bad 02 sensor and was monitoring the readings to catch it throwing a code.. One day the phone wouldn't connect.. I fiddled with it.. left it unplugged for a while and then plugged back in.. It would connect but got harder and harder to connect.. Finally it stopped.. The red light on it got dimmer and pulsed a little like it has a voltage issue.. Up until then it was great, reset codes.. built customer display.. bought dashcmd , don't get it .. its not compatible and that was a waste of money.. A lot of them are not compatible with this module.

WORKS!
Works well with OBDFusion App (costs ~$10) on my 2008 Toyota tundra with iPhone and functional in CarPlay! Actively seeing exact temperature readings and real (calculated) mpg is very satisfying

Well worth the price says Lady Shopper
I bought this OBD II to use with the Leaf Spy app (no longer a free version for iPhone). I’m shopping for a used Leaf and I’ve found that if the car was traded in at a dealership (even at Nissan) that the salespeople know pretty much nothing about the car. The condition of the battery is the biggest factor and the OBD II tells it like it is-so I consider this device essential in saving me lots of $ straight from the box. As a female auto shopper I have encountered male salespersons who assume I am ignorant of cars and try to work that to their advantage. The OBDII gives me data that I can use in negotiating and to keep me from getting taken for a ride. A happy surprise was that the first time I used it I had to type in a bit of data in the app (car year, mileage). Now I’ve used it on 4 other different Leafs and I only have to plug it in and open the app and the mileage & car year auto-populate! No problem pairing to my iPhone X. In my car hunt I feel like I have a genie in my purse since the OBD II is so small and tells the unvarnished truth (what a concept!) Wishing you all the best-Merm.

Product didn't deliver as promised "BUYER BEWARE"
I bought this because its blue tooth that claims to work with iOS, the shipping was excellent but when I received it & tried it in my 2001 4 runner it didn't work. I followed the instruction & it quickly syned up to my iPad I purchased the recommended app " Engine Link" but I was not able to receive any data. I see if the reader was defective I ended up trying in my 2006 Toyota Avalon it eventually worked I found PIDs & the basic dashboard functions. The issue then the next day it stopped working it took 2 hours screwing with it to make it work again in my Avalon, I tried numerous time to make it work in the 2001 4 runner but never functioned. The odd thing is the red LED light turned on & the greed LED light flashes while plugged in the OBD 2 port. I borrowed a wifi reader from a friend & it worked in the 4 runner so this blue tooth doesn't work earlier OBD2 vehicles. I paid $35 for this reader decided to keep it because the hassle of shipping back is not worth the time, BUT I CAUTION OTHER BUYS TO BEWARE!!!!! The tech support from OUTDOOR APPS was not great they did offer to replace it but I had to ship them at my cost the 1st unit. They also suggested I return it to Amazon for a refund. So instead of dealing with the headache I just decided to chalk it up to experience & an expensive chinese POS product. So it August 5 tried to use it no joy so decided go thru the hassle to get back my $35

Works with Nissan Leaf AZE0
Product looked like it had been returned but it works so I don’t mind. Really easy just plug it in and turn Bluetooth on and open up preferred app for vehicle. I had issues in the past trying to find an OBDII dongle that worked with my 2017 Nissan Leaf AZE0 from Japan.
