Very nice.
Works great for my patio lights

Works great
I replaced a non functioning photocell to control the lights at our barn. It was a simple installation (if you are comfortable with electrical wiring), and it works perfectly. Now the lights go on and night and turn off in the morning again, like they are supposed to do.

Excellent quality, cheap and reliable
I've had it installed and running for 6 months without issue. It's cheap, it works and if It does doesn't I'll just wire in another one. These should be a staple of any homeowner who either wants to have a porch light, side garage light or front lights illuminating the house. *** Update Dec 2021 *** This still works. I've supplemented it during the holidays by using a wireless switch with a timer, so the lights don't come on when I have the XMAS lights on, but it's still working as intended. If it ever fails, I will simply put a timer on my wireless switch for dusk/dawn, but for $12 at the time and just moving the slider to initially set it up, it's a good product.

Works well, but we'll see how long it lasts
Works well. The last time I purchased a similar item here, it lasted about 4 years until now. That unit that it replaced 4 years ago lasted almost 40 years. Judging from quite a few reviews here, this item may or may not last very long, but I sure hope it does. I have it mounted in an awkward spot to get at for replacing it, but that was chosen over 45 years ago :-) I have this controlling 11 outdoor lamps, all of which have had LED bulbs in them for the past 5 or so years, so the total load on this is way below the rating of this unit and the load is enough to keep most solid state units of this type happy so the LED lamps do not flicker. I read somewhere here that this unit has a mechanical relay contact in it that would not cause that anyway. The original control I installed fed this same fixtures for many years and they all had regular incandescent bulbs in them. Like I said, we'll see how long this lasts

Easy Install - feels well sealed with the electrical box with rubber gasket
We had a 4 year old light sensor that was installed by the electrician who set up our exterior lighting, he placed a conduit running up through the flat roof with a junction box and a photo cell screwed into the top of it (this was an addition). Recently the old photocell (different model) was no longer turning off at night so we were using the switch in the utility room, and often forgetting to turn it back on before dusk. After a couple of weeks of manually running our lights I ordered and quickly received this device. The angle capability was not foremost on my mind but it was cheaper than the non-adjustable, so this one it was! With the power off, installation was a breeze since I was replacing an old photocell attached to the junction box. I was happier with this one because of the thicker gasket to produce a weather tight seal. I decided to aim it North since we have unobstructed views to in all directions (except East) that would have provided a lot of intense sun on the device and perhaps breakdown the eye with UV light over the years. The silver nut on the bottom of the pictured device was not needed for my particular installation since it went into an electrical box that was threaded, it would have been used in a non-threaded box to secure the device to the box. If I had wanted to articulate the aim, the screw on the side of the joint can be loosened to allow the angle to be adjusted then re-tightened. The front of the device has a small clip, I'm not sure as to the real purpose but I guess it is for holding a temporary shade over the photocell to test. You'd need to block the light for a minute or two to test as it doesn't suddenly go on at the first shadow (good since we don't want flicker). Replacing the old unit with this one was 15 minutes, including getting up and down the ladder to access the roof. As the sunset occurred I found it kicked in right about when I expected, not too early and not too late.

You get what you pay for.
After climbing up an extension ladder several times after I installed it to make sure it was wired right, Which it was. It still didn’t work. I’m t burned out the first cycle of testing. You get what you pay for. I ordered a namebrand one and it works the way it should like I said the namebrand one was twice as much but it was very easy to install because it worked the first time after I installed it. I’m a retired licensed electrician and I always bought higher end devices like The Torx brand for my customers because I knew they would work I never tried to pass off a cheap piece of junk like this.

Sensitive perfect at dawn and dusk
I needed this sensor because the photo sensor on my new car port light was in a dark location. The light was on even when the sun was out fully. I installed this sensor on a post facing out and aimed at a light area on the ground. I was so pleased with the response from this photo sensor. It comes on and off at the time it’s needed yet not when I can see well enough. I’m very pleased with the response. Though it’s mostly plastic, it seems to be built tough enough and it won’t rust. Now I’m hoping it will last.

well made
Easy to install in an outdoor box. You could install through a wall with the right threaded adapters. Used on a shed to control lighted entry, so far works perfectly, dusk/dawn, not a motion sensor. Unit will power light on for a few minutes when first hooked up then cycle as stated.
