It is a top quality round, serrated vinyl with a hollow core. Black in color. There is 25 foot per roll. Review: As advertised - I replaced the screen on one of my windows, as it had been torn by pets. This spline was perfect... it's a little thinner than the usual which was important because I was installing a thicker screening material in the door (which was advertised to withstand the abuse my cats give it). Worked perfectly and was a breeze to install in minutes. Review: Replacing screen is easy, and this spline works great - I have found that the recommended spline diameter can sometimes result in a screen that, while it will hold, can easily be pushed out of the frame by hand. A thicker spline is a BIT more difficult to install with the tool - you need to stretch it out a bit and/or put more pressure on the tool. But the result will be a screen that holds firm and tight. When doing your screen, work on a level, flat surface. It helps to have someone aid in holding the screen at one end of the frame. Pull it so it is snug and without snags, but be careful not to stretch it with too much force. The screen can tear easily if you over-do it. Remember, too, that that the movement of the spline into the channel will take up some additional slack. The nice thing about re-screening, is that it is very forgiving.
