Worked perfectly!
Pain that most are 3/8 drive not half. Torque loss in the adapter was just enough to make it a no go. Got the 1/2 drive, and first time, it was off!

DOES NOT FIT for removing JEEP CHEROKEE OIL FILTER ADAPTER on 97-01models.
I bought this item because of a review here that stated this would work for the Jeep Cherokee oil filter adapter. That reviewer was incorrect - This socket will NOT fit in the space available between the adapter and the motor mount bracket bolt, for removing the oil filter adapter for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee. It's too long to fit in there with a socket handle attached (even a low-profile one), and because it has a rounded shank below the tip, you cannot grab the shank with a wrench to turn it that way. Perhaps if you have a cutoff grinder and a welder, you could cut off the tip and weld it onto a handle of some kind, but that seems a bit much for the average mechanic. Better to just buy a more appropriate tool to start with - maybe the SK Hand Tool 81810 bit, which is what I plan to try next.This is no reflection on the item itself - the socket itself seems well-made and hefty, so if this is the size you need for a different job, I'm sure it would be fine.

Worked like a charm
I went to 2 different hardware stores and no one had a T60 torx bit, largest I could find was T50. I only needed it for one job, removing the flash hider from my mini-14 and it worked perfectly. The bit doesn't feel or look cheap.

I used this to remove the flash hider on my AR-15. That's the only use I have for it, and I may never need it again. It was a perfect fit though.

98' Jeep Oil Filter adaptor problem solver
This tool, with a bit of modification, was exactly what i needed to break loose the torx fitting on the oil filter adapter on a 98 Jeep XJ w/ 4.0L.

Made in USA broke after first try
It just snap and broke at first use. It was stamped made in USA which shocked me. Returned back to Amazon.
