I cut my own business cards to save money and it hasn’t worked perfectly for that job! I was concerned about purchasing this product because of some of the feedback stating it does not cut straight, but I have not had that issue at all. It cuts perfectly straight for me. It makes a perfect slice sound! That sound means that the blade is coming in full contact with the metal plate with the same amount of pressure that an expensive heavier cutter has. The blade is very sturdy and sharp. The cutter is made of good quality material. To avoid uneven cuts, I just have to take a little extra time making sure that the left-side of the paper lines up perfectly on the grid line all the way down the page, but that is true for any guillotine paper cutter. I also use my other hand on the paper and press down in order to ensure that the paper doesn’t move at all while cutting. I LOVE how clean the cuts are and how totally simple this is to use. The measurements on the trimmer are a great guide for specific cuts. It’s a great size cutter that will DEFINITELY last a long time. It’s lightweight and easy to store for safety purposes. I would definitely recommend this product. It's extremely sharp, the handle locks for saftey but also stays up at the top to allow for proper paper alignment before cutting.
