I had never seen an arc lighter before. Enjoyed it immensely - until the fire started in my bedroom. There was nothing wrong with the lighters functionality. The incident was human error and design flaw. You have to actively shut it off. I didn't know this, lit what I wanted to light and sat it down on a bamboo surface and went about my busy day. The smoke column floating down the stairs let me know there was big trouble in paradise. I was able to put the flames (yes) out on my own but a few seconds more and it might have also been the curtains. When I recovered this lighter from the mini ruin, the button was in the ON position. I mean it's obviously fake wood but it is a LOT prettier than the alternatives.Also, the electric is FUN! It's so cool! No more lighter fluid, you just recharge it with the micro-usb to usb plug.The only thing it's missing is some sort of safety lock. Easy to use + great candle lighter. The only thing that's a little hard to light are tall, smaller mouth candles when the wick is towards the bottom since you don't have the length of a flame like with other regular (butane) candle lighters. Wood grain + silver look fake/cheap, but at this price, I didn't expect much more. Overall, great purchase and would recommend to others!
