Another Ace
I have a feeling this series is going to be one of those where each couple replaces the previous as my favorite. I thought no one could top Josh and Tori and I was wrong. Not that they’re actually topped, but at least on the level with. This book was sweet and spicy, and emotional and beautiful, and gosh darn hilarious. Erin Nicholas can do no wrong.

😍This Series Owns My Heart! 😍
Holy hot crawfish, I’m sooo in love with this Landry clan! I think they’re my favorite book family ever, and I’m ready to drive down to the Autre, Louisiana, and beg them to adopt me. They’re boisterous, opinionated and interfering, but they love large and always, always have each others' backs. And I don’t know if it's the local climate or the Landry DNA, but they grow their men strong and sexy with breath-taking grins, unwavering loyalty and hearts as big as their beloved bayou. Madison Allain may not share my sentiments, because she left Autre at age sixteen and never looked back.Maddie is content with her life in California. She's content not thinking about the people she's loved and lost, and she's content not thinking of Autre as home now that she’s made a new life for herself on the opposite side of the country. But since her brother's death, the check she gets every month as part owner of the Boys of the Bayou Swamp Boat Tour Company forces her to think about Autre and all she left behind. Including Owen Landry. But in order to sell her share of the business, the agreement states she has to spend thirty days working in the company, so now she has to deal with everything from back home she put behind her over a decade ago. Especially Owen Landry.Owen and Maddie burned hot and fast back in high school for a month before she left town. All passion, hormones and reckless abandon, they made each other crazy and had more than their share of impulsive decisions. They’re both adults now, with more maturity and self-control, but embers still smolder, along with the potential for crazy to make a reappearance. And isn’t this a tantalizing setup for an awesome second-chance romance? You know as well as I do, there's no way Owen and Maddie will be able to resist the pull between them. And their second chance is spectacular – touchingly beautiful, laugh-out-loud hilarious, deliciously steamy, poignantly evocative and so, so good!Gah. I’m so swoony over Owen and Maddie, it’s utterly ridiculous. Nicholas again tops herself with a captivating, hypnotizing storyline that sucked me in and wouldn’t turn me loose. I read this in one sitting, staying up way too late, and absolutely hated to finish the last page. I can't get enough of these characters and wish their story could go on forever. Owen is a laid-back alpha, generally easy going, but he's also a fixer, doing whatever he can to make life easier for those he loves. And his growly, protective side? That’s some shiver-inducing yumminess when it makes an appearance. Maddie has created a polished, professional persona during her years away, but it’s not long before her bayou comes out, and she's not above getting physical to take care of business and protect those she cares about. As it stands right now, The Boys of the Bayou is my number one series for the year, and I seriously doubt anything will come along and knock it out of that spot. Josh's story was great, but Owen's is even better, and I have high hopes for Sawyer's story in Beauty and the Bayou. These books stand alone, so you can start with Owen's then catch up with Josh's and be ready for Sawyer's book in August. Unless you hate sexy, southern gentlemen, strong, smart women and sweet second chances, you'll absolutely love Owen and Maddie story!*I reviewed an advance copy of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.

Maddie and Owen and hot and sweet
Maddie and Owen had an insane 6 month relationship 12 years ago when they were 16 and 17. Their relationship involved fire, stolen auto parts, jail, blood and stitches. All of this does not seem strange in small town Autre, Louisiana where Maddie and Owen were raised and where the love stories are always over-the-top crazy. But their teenage relationship ended when Maddie’s mom died, her father went to prison, and she moved to San Francisco to live with her grandparents. Maddie’s brother recently died tragically and left her his 35% share of the Boys of the Bayou Swamp Boat Tour company. Maddie wants to sell her share to a rich investor but first she has to spend 30 days in Autre with Owen, the rest of the Landry family and the crazy she wants no part of. This is where the story begins - the Landrys not wanting Maddie to sell and Maddie wanting to sell. The story is filled with loud, larger than life characters and situations, simmering and overwhelming feelings, steamy scenes, and alligators, all wrapped up in so much love. Maddie and Owen just need to overcome a few obstacles, let go of some old beliefs, and embrace their crazy together in order to get to their HEA. And the ridiculous, joyful, and sweet ride to get there is so much fun. Sprinkled throughout this beautifully paced story of Maddie and Owen’s HEA, there are also a number of secondary characters. Rather than being confusing, overwhelming or detracting from the main love story, these characters are central to the unfurling of Maddie and Owen’s dance of love and passion and to the crazy that is Autre, Louisiana. We learn enough about who the secondary characters are along with just enough of their stories so that they’re fully developed characters in their own right. With Sweet Home Louisiana, Erin Nicholas once again proves she’s a fantastic storyteller and the queen at bringing to life imaginary towns full of wonderful characters. I cannot wait to see what is in store for the rest of the Landry family.

second chance romance
Maddie is home to sell her share of the business her brother left her when he died. She left the Bayou as a teenager and doesn’t want to go back. A lot happened before she left and she felt out of control there, she feels more in control in California. Part of the reason for this is Owen her first (and only) love.Theirs was a passionate, hot and intense young love. Owen has never really gotten over her and will do anything to make her happy. Maddie’s biggest fear is realised when she goes home, everything feels right there and she is used to not really feeling anything any more. Maddie is smart, talented, hot headed and loving. Owen is strong, loyal and will do anything for the people he cares about. This was a fun, hot passionate thoroughly enjoyable read.

An ok read
An ok storyline, not as good as book 1, very slow going. Some great funny bits though. Owen and Maddie were a couple 12 year ago and Maddie left to move to live with her grandparents due to the death of her mum due to a drunk driver and her dad in jail for taking retribution against the man for killing her. She had to go back to the Bayou as she wanted to sell her shares in the business but the terms of contract said she had to participate for 4 weeks in the business. Hence the rekindling of the romance between her and Owen.

Great book.
I love second chance books. The emotions are always so intense. The possessive and protective feelings they both have for each other are fun to read about. I love all the family and can’t wait to read about more of them.

Another good read in the series
Maddie and Owen had a thing when they were teenagers but then Maddie went off to California and worked in an art gallery. Owen loved the bayou of Louisiana, all his family lived and worked there showing tourists around the swamps, he didnt think he could ever be anywhere else. Maddie had to come back because she had to sort out the shares that he had left her, she didnt want the bayou. The chemistry with Owen though, well that was still hot and he was now a full grown beautiful man and he decided to change her mind.
