Oso Snacks - Dried Chili Pineapple - No Added Sugar or Preservatives - 26oz

I’m not sure if I got a bad bag or if it’s supposed to look and taste like this, but it smells repulsive, and is brown and slimy. I bought because it sounded interesting and was much cheaper than the other dried fruit they sell, but now I know why. I put one piece into my mouth and promptly spit it out. Avoid this at all costs! I would return it, but there is a ‘no return’ policy, which sounds like a great way to dump bad products on unsuspecting people without giving them any recourse when the food ends up bad.

This is one of the very few brands of dried pineapple which does not add sugar, and it's by far the best I've tried. It's a shame that it seems to go in and out of availability. I'm not sure what's up with the negative reviews here: yes, it does clump together a bit because it's a dried, sticky fruit which has not been over-processed, but that does not affect the flavor (a hint of chili, but not overwhelming). And it does have a dark color, but not only is it covered in chili and hibiscus powder, but it is free of preservatives and additives. The best-tasting healthy snack I know of. Personally, I could eat this stuff all day long!

The chili flavor is moderate, but occasionally there were pieces where the chili was very strong. Pretty good, but I didn't like how the pineapple pieces clump together. This was a problem for me because I like making my own mix of dried fruits, and I can't just pour these pineapples into the mix.

It's good but the appearance is a little weird. The flavor is great but I would add a little bit of salt and lime juice maybe?

The product was exactly as the picture the product is very spicy but taste delicious I will definitely be ordering again from this company

These pineapple chunks are really tasty! Their quality is apparent by the fresh flavors and consistent texture of the fruit. Much better pieces than other companies who have mushy bits or overly fermented flavors. Can't wait to try Oso's mango!
