Highly Effective Protection For Venous/Stasis Ulcers and Open Bed Sores
Some cuts or sores you can cover with a Babd-Aid, some large ones might need gauze or a Telfa pad to protect the site. But for some open wounds and ulcers, a special type of dressing is required to soak up the liquids, or exudate. Dimora offers a specific line of dressings just for this purpose. I will add a few photos of a lower leg ucler common with diabetics and people who suffer from swelling of the extremeties called lymphadema. I first tried gauze dressings but they stuck to the wound and made things worse when I peeled them off. Even Telfa pads, which claim to be non-stick, were less than ideal plus didn't help soak up fluids commonly found in stasis ulcers. Fortunately I found Silicone Foam Dressingss made by Dimora that helped with might otherwise might be months or years of healing time for stasis ulcers. They come in several sizes including 6, 4 and 3 inch squares. I settled on the 4" as being the right size for my particular needs. The 3 and 4 inch dressings offer a choice of with or without a thinner adhesive border. Each has good sticking power, but I chose to anchor each side with tape then wrap the whole thing in an Ace wrap for greater protection. Since the Dimora Silicone Foam Dressing with Border Adhesive has a cushiony, sterile center it offer great protection against germs and accidental bumps and feels cooling going on. The outer layer is somehow air-permeable while the dressing itself is considered a waterproof barrier. The dressings may be left on up to 2 days, but in the beginning I chose to chane them twice a day. They peel off very easily without damaging surrounding sjkin or the fragile wound area itself. In the first stage of healing you will first see a whitish-yellow surface called slough. This is dead skin cells and fluids seeping out of the damaged area. Unfortunately, such ulcers cannot heal properly with this layer and must be removed. Debriding can be done manually with a clean cloth and warm water but it is far less painful to let the silicone foam pads do the work. As the healing continues you see more pinkish red granulation tissue and finally, no more open areas at all. If you purchase the Dimora dressings without borders you can cut them to size, say 2" x 4" or 1" squares, for greater value if that fits your needs. Tip: the dressings with borders have a smaller usable foam space, about 2" for the 4" since each borders measures about 1/2". The dressings are protected by peel off covering, like the backs of Band-Aids. I highly recommend these as a top quality product with easy application and removal. I could have used them back in the day I had a deep (full thickness) second degree burn for which they are also recommended.

Good quality product
Really good product. It does stick to the skin without damaging it. Provides cushioning. My mom who is 94, doesn’t feel she has it on. It does not itch, and if you place it accordingly it never gets dirty or wet.

Protects the wound. Promotes healing
These are a longish bandaid with a thicker cushioned center excellent for a long narrow cut or small surgical scar area. I purchased them when I developed abscesses from the sutures following leg surgery. They helped to protect the wound dressings and prevent the rubbing of pant legs during physical therapy.

Very good product. Packaging not good.
The dressings work wonderfully. Have been using for years. The packaging, though, from Amazon, I guess, does not keep the boxes from being crushed.

Ensure skin is completely dry when applying
My mom dressed her toe with a cream couple hours before taking a shower. But when she went to apply this foam dressing, it did not stick. She opened a second one and tried, and nothing worked. We thought they were faulty. Luckily my mom decided to try it again, and made sure her toe was completely dry before applying. And it stuck! Unfortunately, this happened after I left a review saying it wouldn't stick. Before I could change the review, the company reached out and was willing to give me a refund. They were so nice to offer it. I briefly explained what had happened and let them know I didn't need a refund. So here I am letting others know this is a good company and a good product. Just apply the dressing correctly and all will be fine.

Gentle Yet Effective – A Must-Have for Wound Care
Caring for my bedridden father, I needed high-quality dressings for a pressure sore that developed on his lower back (sacrum area). These Dimora Sacrum Foam Bandages have been a blessing for us. They are specifically shaped for the sacral area (kind of a tapered heart shape) and are quite large (7” x 7”), so they cover the whole tailbone region completely. When I first applied one, I was impressed by how well it conformed to the contours of the body and how secure it was. The bandage has a gentle silicone adhesive border that sticks firmly to the skin without causing irritation. Even on delicate, elderly skin, it adhered well but was painless to remove – it doesn’t tear the skin or leave a sticky mess. The foam pad in the center is thick and super absorbent. It managed to soak up drainage from the sore and keep it contained, which meant his skin around it stayed drier and cleaner. The dressing is also waterproof, so we could do quick sponge baths and even a careful shower without worrying – it stayed in place and kept the area dry. We change it out every couple of days or as needed, and each removal has been trauma-free; my father doesn’t wince or complain at all when I take one off, which is a relief. Most importantly, these bandages have really helped his sore heal. Over a couple of weeks of consistent use, we noticed the pressure ulcer gradually improving – it looked less angry and began to shrink. I attribute that to the bandage providing a protected, moist healing environment and cushioning the area from further friction. They’re also great for preventing new sores; we sometimes apply a fresh one proactively if we notice any red spots starting on pressure points. Each pack comes with multiple bandages (we got 5 in our box), making it cost-effective for ongoing care compared to the single ones we were buying at the local pharmacy for a higher price per piece. I am thoroughly impressed with Dimora’s sacrum dressings. They have taken a lot of stress out of wound care at home and, most importantly, brought comfort and healing to my father For anyone nursing a loved one with bedsores or if you need a sacral dressing post-surgery, these are top-notch. Definitely a five-star product in my experience.

This is the best coverage for any sores that are weeping or infected. Helps them heal better by covering the sore and absorbing any mess from the wound.

Good quality dressing. Both adhered and absorbed as required. Would not cope with heavy wound discharge. Did not cause reaction on highly sensitive skin which was a major positive.
