Interesting product that really works for fruit flies!
I originally intended to use this bulb in my office near a sunny window that attracts house flies throughout the day. When the bulb arrived, we had 3 straight days of rain, and no house flies (never thought I'd complain about that).Anxious to see this in action, I relocated the bulb to a light fixture above my kitchen counter. I'm so glad I did! Because this is where I keep my fresh fruit, there were quite a few fruit flies around - an issue that only gets worse in the Autumn. This bulb attracted and removed the pesky flies quickly. I've decided to keep the bulb in this spot because it worked so nicely! My experience with this company has been fantastic. When I originally ordered, Amazon estimated delivery at 9-12 days...but I received the package much quicker than that! It arrived nicely packaged, direct from the manufacturer. Enclosed was a lovely note from the owner Ron, with several resources to contact them if I was not satisfied - which gave me confidence that they stand behind their product. The install was very easy. The light emitted is fairly soft, but I wouldn't call it warm. I'd say it looks more like natural light. The fan is quiet - I tuned it out after half a day.Although I can't speak to their effectiveness with house flies - I can say this really works with fruit flies. Maybe I'll have to order another :)

Great way to reduce flies in the house
I loved this product! The concept was novel in that I had never heard o/seen a project like this but it delivered! I was skeptical at first but the bulb is pretty much silent. I was skeptical on where to put the device as I think it is odd to put this device outside where bugs are supposed to be, so I settled for my living room. The light is quite bright and white and not as warm as other lights. But overall this device did it's job. I had gnats and popped this sucker in and the next day, no gnats. Once I finally emptied the device, which was super easy, I could see how many bugs were in there which I liked--let me know it was working

Soft light, catches small bugs
This light bulb puts off a nice soft, yet bright light. It traps bugs by pulling them through the top like a vacuum. The light bulb does have a slight noise, but it’s barely noticeable. It has caught a few very small bugs in the 2 weeks it has been in operation. Overall, it’s a decent product.

Works well!
I'm very happy about the CLEANRTH LED FLYLIGHT Bulb, it really does catch bugs! I wasn't sure how this was going to work but it did great. Whenever the patio door is open flies are sure to fly in and the bright LED light attracts the flies and they are vacuumed in with no escape. Must have!

CLEANRTH FLYLIGHT didn't work that well for me (for what ever reason.)
That's about as kind as I can be to this bug light. We left it a week among wife's window plants (she's got a bunch!) and it did not catch anything I could see in the light trap area.In addition she said it started giving off a smell she could not tolerate while I could not smell anything. (it's usually me with the good nose, go figure) Lite shaking produced nothing either.Took it out on the porch for that time had passed. Bugs flew around it but still very little results. The only thing I can think of is possibly the NW USA area I live is not suited for this light. The light is a bright daylite shade which I do not prefer either. I like the more yellow sunshine shade. I don't like having to rate anything so low but honesty demands it.

Work for 8 or 9 days, then kaput.
I put it in a socket and turned it on. Left it on 24/7 for a little over a week. Turned it off, unscrewed it from the socket and emptied it, there were quite a few dessicated gnats in the catch. That's good! Did not shake. Did not drop. Screwed it back in and it no longer lights up, although the little fan still whirred. Very expensive for 8 or 9 day's use! Asked for a refund last week, haven't heard back.

Functional but with some drawback
I have tried a couple of different methods to reduce the flying insects outside during the summer. I wasn't sure how this was gonna fair but it did better than I expected. It operates as a normal light bulb, but it is thick so be sure there is space. The fan that sucks in the insects does have a noticeable noise even while outside. Not terribly annoying, but noticeable. It does pull in smaller nats and bugs, but doesn't appear to catch the big flies. I'm in texas so some of the bugs can be large which I'm guessing just overpower the air suction for the fan.

No more bugs on my porch!!
Omg I absolutely love this lightbulb!! I put it on my front porch. I keep my porch light on, but at night there's a ton of bugs around the light! But, now that I've put this CLEANRTH Flylight outside there are no more bugs! I wish I would've found this sooner! It's so much better taking the dogs outside at night with this light instead of having to fight through a fog of bugs! Totally recommend this lightbulb!!
