It is quite important to reseason the skillet after every use to prevent it from rusting. It is really easy to reseason your skillet, rub lightly with oil, place upside down on the oven rack, put a pan underneath to catch any drips, and bake at 250 for an hour or two. Repeat as needed until you're happy with the finish. Cast iron products should last a lifetime if properly cared for. Please be careful not to expose the skillet to too much soap as the seasoning can get damaged.
