I only buy the washable version. Waterproof mascara is a big pain to completely remove.

Is this mascara safe for lash extensions?

To my knowledge, you are not supposed to use mascara with lash extensions. So I can confidently say this mascara is not for lash extensions.

how well does this hold curled lashes?

I don't curl my lashes but because it is soft not stiff, it may well hold the curl. It is still the very best mascara ever made and Maybelline has made a big mistake discontinuing it.
