There are justifiable complaints here from customers that received one of the three bottles with a loose lid, causing a spill during shipping. I happened to get this product with all the liquid still in their proper containers so I have no packaging complaints.What about the products themselves?The metal polish will likely be the least used on most guitars, there's not enough metal on most guitars to use that polish frequently. You don't want to use the polish on non-metal surfaces, or risk that frequently because it could cause minor abrasive damage. Some items such as tuners might have a heat-stamped logo or text on them, maybe a sticker on cheaper guitars, the metal polish will damage those superficial items. So, user beware. I've used it on a few electric guitar bridges and a rough whammy bar. All items came out shiny, smooth and new looking.The fret board oil is a lot like furniture oil, it can be worked into a dry fret board or bare wood surface like a natural wood Washburn Nuno Bettencourt electric guitar. The end result is the wood luster returns and the surface is slightly slippery. It feels better than new. This does NOT have the same cheesy result as using wax or pledge. It is almost like a healthy lotion for your wood, forgive the double entendre. It works well, restores natural color and replenishes the moisture in most wood surfaces. Make sure to take off the strings, or loosen them a large amount, in order to get the best results on the finger board. This is best done when changing strings.The polish, sometimes considered "restorative finish cream" was the real treat in this tote. It restored a used white guitar with adhesive and tar-like gunk all over it, to something that looked brand new and a crisp bold white. This took a lot of polish, and this use is admittedly bit more than anyone would do with this product. However it really did an amazing job at non-abrasively cleaning off all the residue. Don't use the polish on the finger board or metal parts. Don't use it on uncoated or unpainted wood surfaces. If for some reason you have a matte guitar, I probably wouldn't use it there either.The 3 cloths are identical and sufficient. They are pretty soft so it won't damage any guitars. It would be better if they were different color and the bottle stickers matched that color. This would help prevent people from using the same cloth for multiple products. By the way, don't use the same cloth with multiple products, don't store the different cloths up against one another after you've used them. If you do, product will transfer from one cloth to the other and the subsequent use will not be optimal.The guitar strap is cheap and probably thrown in to help justify the price, or sell these packages to a first time instrument buyer in a retail setting. Add-on purchase which is functional, but also minimal. The only function this strap serves for me is as a divider in this container, and it does that job poorly.Leading me to the container; junk, and entirely non-friendly to store/use/access. The metal lid opens like paint can for no reason other than to frustrate the consumer. There is a handle and I don't really know why, it just gets in the way. The cylindrical nature of this container pretty much insures it will either be tossed in the trash or never travel with any guitarist because it's a poor use of space. The container in NO WAY affects the ability of the cleaning products, so that didn't affect the star rating.If I were to improve upon the container; I think it would be best to have a (cheap) pedal-board like clam-shell plastic case with the Gibson logo on it, in order to store these products (minus the guitar strap). A flatter rectangular case for the 3 products and 3 color-coded cloths.Long review for such a little product, but hopefully the breakdown helps someone. These cleaning products won't change your life or make you sound like Clapton on a guitar, but they are really great for their purpose.

My fiancee is an avid guitarist and when I saw this set, I couldn't resist purchasing it for him for Christmas. He was ecstatic to receive just based on the packing and all the items included, but once he started using it he was in love. He shows all of his friends who play guitar; it has really made a difference in his instrument care. It made all of his guitars (and I mean all, including the first guitar he ever purchased that hasn't been played in years but has been hanging on the wall and covered in dust) look brand new. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants their guitars to look clean and new. It's great at cutting through dust, sweat that builds on the cords, any grime that might collect if you are playing shows in areas that smoking is allowed (like my fiancee). It definitely makes a huge difference.

I have four guitars and I can use this kit on all of them.

They are decent stuff. Nothing mind blowing. The strap will cut you if you are wearing a heavy guitar (Les Paul) and don't have anything in between it and your skin.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. I like how small and compact it was. I think it comes with the basics to clean your guitar. I believe the recipient was satisfied.

I ordered this for my son's Christmas gift. It came on time as advertized, but the lid on the fretboard cleaner was not tight and it spilled inside all over the other products. I hoped it was a fluke and ordered a second one - same problem. My son has 2 kits that were partially ruined and no fretboard cleaner.

The pump polish works great for cleaning and polishing. The cloths are garbage. The oil child protection cap can't even be removed by an adult due mismatched threads. The chrome polish is just okay. The strap is okay. So two stars for an over priced bucket of OK stuff.

Perfect as a gift. In fact, it was just right so I purchased one for myself.

I use this product for general cleaning of my Gibson Les Paul. A nice touch using Gibson branded products.

I got this for my husband so he could give his guitars some much needed TLC. It comes with everything you need and everything can be stored back in the tin ready for next time.They now look as good as new! I would recommend this!

Present for a Gibson loving son. Looks good a bit small but will do the job I'm sure.

bought this as a christmas present for a guitar mad friend. He seems to really like it, and though its not a huge thing, a little goes a long way.
