Beautiful Childhood Plant
***Update! 1.5 years later I finally have my first flower bloom! I have my plant in a self watering pot from Amazon and it has gone from 2 leaf cuttings to around 6-7 long branches! Very hardy and beautiful!!*** I’m a beginner indoor gardener and I had always told myself that the midnight orchid was a plant I needed. As a child, we grew up with a backyard covered in midnight orchids and every now and then I would get that beautiful scent and my back yard would be bloomed in these beauties! My plant is doing beautiful! Propagated in about 2 months (Indoors, New England Winter) and I have such high hopes for it! I sing to it! 🤣 I’m hoping this baby does a full bloom in the next few years! Till then it’s TLC for it! ♥️

So far so good!
These arrived healthy, and a few months later seem to be rooting well. I know I need to be patient before a cutting becomes a bloom, but so far so good!

Success after some patience.
Didn’t root on my first attempt. I cut it again and added a kelp fertilizer to the water. Second time it grew roots like nobody’s business. It’s now potted and starting to grow a little bud On the top left. Updating a year later: Repotted into a large pot and just ordered a 6’ trellis because it’s about 3.5-4 feet tall now and is growing tendrils looking for something to climb. First bud fell off before it bloomed and not expecting any blooms this year because it was repotted but it’s growing quickly and very healthy even after spending the winter indoors. Have continued using kelp fertilizer and it seems very happy.

Patient is key!!
Got this because I really wanted this beautiful plant. Potted it a medium size pot. At first I thought it wouldn't grow but after a few months, it started sprouting out new stems. So be patient it's a slow process. Excited to see it sprout more and grow.

Just a leaf
It looks like just a leaf in the bag … but I immediately took it out of the package . I soaked it in warm water for a few hours . Then planted it in potting soil . It has already grown a new leaf . After just about a month . These are hard to find ! So get yourself one . Once our weather warms up I plan to order a few more . But I personally think it’s too cold at 30 degrees to ship them ???
