The gel isn't sticky like most gels, example The Doux Bee Girl or Mielle's Coil Sculpting Custard. It's not thick either. Styling on wet hair, it isolates my curls perfectly. The product isn't heavy on my hair and is fairly lightweight. This dries pretty fast under a blowdryer. The curl cast isn't making my hair crunchy or flaky. It's also not heavy enough to where you move your head your hair is stiff. I can flip and whip my hair, curl still defined with no frizz. The smell is pleasant and not overbearing.
