These RAM modules gave new life to my 2011 Imac. Surfing the net, watching videos with no buffering, having emails and web pages load instantly. Ole Bessy is running like she was meant too. Very happy with the improvement.

I purchased this for a mid 2011 iMac with 27-in screen. Installation was simple, but I suggest finding a video regarding installation before starting. I cannot speak to how well it works in other machines. Works great on mine, but I have replaced the operating system with Linux. But it was a very cheap way to go from 4 GB of RAM to 20 GB, since the mid 2011 iMacs have four memory slots, but only used two of them. Do not expect performance similar to RAM made in the last few years. This is for old machines but is a cheap way to give them a little more punch. Fit perfectly in the slots.

Great item

Gave this laptop a few more years. Really easy to install in this old Dell. The laptop was running a 32 bit version of Windows 10 because it only had 4GB of RAM before. Windows 64 bit is a memory hog. But as you can see this is much more capable of multitasking. Before there was virtually no free memory, just by the OS. The impressive boot time is mostly because of the SSD, but RAM also plays a role in the boot process. RAM will usually not speed up your computer unless you are out of RAM and the OS is constantly writing to the disk. You can check if you have enough memory by going to the task manager, for windows. If you are running linux then you probably know what to do. If you are running a Mac then you probably don't ever want to upgrade: why upgrade when you can buy something new with a little better specs and drop an entire paycheck on this. Can you tell that I have issues with Apple? Anyways if you are out of memory, you will see a slowdown.

i have a dell inspiron 660 with a max of 8gb. i read online that it could recognize more, but other places said it couldnt. this memory was a great price, so i gave it a shot. i now have 16 gig of ram. and its running great.
