I am looking specifically for a pillow that will make it easier to read in bed with my arthritic hands. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The book seat concept has been a life saver for my arthritic hands, but have found that after time that it does not hold up well. The stuffing has eroded and I cannot open it to re-fill with something, so it has become limp. I like that it has a pocket to hold pens, stylus, etc. It is a perfect size for my Kindle. When I used books, it was a nuisance to turn pages because of the acrylic bar, which is necessary. I should have gotten a darker color as it is looking pretty dirty. Keep in mind that it is in use daily. Hope this helps you.

Does this work for paperback books? Easy enough to turn the pages?

I think it would work for paperbacks but turning the pages of any book was a problem for me. I'm a fast reader so turning pages was more trouble than just figuring out a different way to hold the book.

How do these (for those who have tried others) feel this compares to the book pyramid design bookholders? Can't make up my mind.Need for big hardbacks

I have been using this for awhile and really like it. If will hold my very large study bible that is hardbound. This is the only book holder I have used, therefore I can't compare it to others.
