These things will get your wrists in shape!
First of all, these things feel twice as heavy as they are. They really put my wrists to the test, and the extra extension I get when I do wide-movement exercises with my arms amplifies their effectiveness. My personal trainer picked them up to test them and now he borrows them whenever he comes over for a session. They are heavy and awkward, but that's what they are supposed to be. Make sure you have enough room and are in a safe place when you swing them. I sometimes use them for slow-movement arm exercises when I'm sitting at my desk. The thin cord used as a safety loop is somewhat effective, but I would pay extra for a well-designed leather wrist sling for more comfort and safety.

Well made, nice feel and they look good.
Well made, nice feel and they look good. These clubs are shorter than typical indian clubs but since they are iron they have to be compact. I still feel like they capture the dynamics of the indian club swings well. The smaller size reduces space requirements some and makes it less likely I will ding the wall, furnishings or ceiling. These are better made clubs than my 2 lb plastic clubs. When/if I get used to this weight I will probably upgrade to a larger size in iron. The shipment was poorly packaged and one club was lost in shipment. Customer service was good and promptly got a second one on the way. It arrived in much better packaging so hopefully that won't be a future issue.

"one of the best investments I have ever made."
I travel with these clubs and consider them one of the best investments I have ever made. These are well made, quality clubs that I imagine will last for generations. They are small enough to swing almost anywhere, without hitting ceilings or floors. But the clubs feel like they are longer than they are, which for my training is a very good thing. In addition to the classical movements for clubs, I practice a lot of sword movements and the balance of the clubs is very good for this. Those into sword training or escrima should appreciate these clubs very much. Though the weight of these is plenty for exercise in general, I will be purchasing heavier sets in the future as I have improved quite a bit in strength and have become addicted to this sort of exercise.

is better in every way than any gym I've ever seen
Everyone who doesn't have a physically demanding lifestyle should have a pair of Indian clubs and a jump rope... and everyone who does have a physically demanding lifestyle could still gain or maintain a higher level of coordination, flexibility and stamina by using them. Two clubs and a rope, combined with an eye for heavy things that can be carried and objects to be climbed, is better in every way than any gym I've ever seen, and cheaper than most of their initial membership fees. I recommend using the money you'll save in the future for classes on tai chi, yoga, or dancing.

Big difference from polypropylene clubs
or should I say - little difference? Upgrading from the poly clubs (2 lbs) these are tiny. So anything that is concentrated in the wrists - you'll really feel it.If like me you are upgrading from wood or poly - initially the finish on these is a bit "slippy"Last thing - was stated but these are made in China, if that makes a difference to you.

Indian clubs require learning and practice of technique to use them effectively.
Great product; well made, good size. I'm enjoying learning how to properly use them, and my shoulder mobility has definitely improved.

These arrived quickly and were exactly what I expected. ...
These arrived quickly and were exactly what I expected. I bought other lower weight Indian clubs so I can work up to these since I can already tell that these will be a moderate level of difficulty. I would not suggest them for beginners.

Wrap the handles with athletic tape.
Exactly what you expect. I would recommend wrapping the handles with athletic tape to secure the grip. They are metal and can get slippery in a sweaty hand. Not something you want to have come flying out of your hand.
