It will do the job but it is not very sturdy and I imagine will not hold up for an extended duration especially if a kiddo is using it for toys etc. I wouldn't value this basket more than $4-5 tops. HomeGoods/TJMaxx/Marshalls have MUCH better options in the $12 range - that is where I usually purchase baskets/totes like this to use for gift giving and had this item not specifically been on the registry I would have stuck to my norm and picked something out from the store.
