After a run outside, I noticed that the steering wasn't working properly. It was grinding and just not turning at all. After taking apart the servo I saw that one of the gears had broke several teeth. After looking online for a new servo I came to the same conclusion as everyone else: buy new gears for cheaper than buy a new servo. This set is a perfect upgrade for the 2080 servo to make it essentially a 2080r for less than half the price. I'm not sure why the upgraded vxl models didn't just come standard with that anyway. Not that I should be surprised, seems like all the expensive stuff on mine is breaking. Original battery then the motor died and now the servo.Anyways these gears are a perfect fit and include the grease needed for the gears. The only 'hard' part was getting the front wheels straight with it without having to put the trim all the way to one side. The trim is no longer at 0, but I only had to move it a couple notches to the left to make it straight. I'm sure I could fix it by taking it apart again and adjusting the gears, but it's fine as is. Here's to hoping that nothing else fails. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quick install and an instant upgrade *by F***K on April 30, 2022* The parts fit as designed and work like a champ. The install is a bit tricky so pay attention and make certain you are lining everything up correctly. This should be included from Traxxas as stock but considering the cost is low I won't complain :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked great for e-Revo 1/16 VXL servo upgrade *by N***O on October 11, 2020* The original servo, plastic geared, lasted for only one run through the back yard. By the end of the battery, gears were stripped. I ordered the metal gears, reading they would fit.I didn't even pull the servo fully out of the e-Revo. I was able to easily put in the new gears, and it runs as well as new.
