I checked the bottle and it says it is soy and gluten free! **Q: Based on what should you choose between candidase and candidase extra stregth?** A: I don't know what is best for you. Consulting with a natural health physician may be helpful. It looks like the extra strength has candida fighting herbs and a probiotic in it, which Candidase does not. However the regular Candidase has a much higher dosage of proteolytic enzymes. If a person is not allergic to the ingredients in the Candidase Extra Strength and has an acute condition (significant overgrowth of systemic yeast), perhaps trying it initially would be helpful, then going on the Candidase for maintenance purposes would be sufficient. While synergy is sometimes very beneficial, taking too many things for long periods of time is not always a good idea. Just some thoughts related to your question. I had despaired of controlling the yeast (which also erupts into my mouth or out the other end as well as causes bloat) with a natural supplement yet was reluctant to start pharmaceuticals. In my research, it seemed that enzymes to destroy the yeast cell walls but not the beneficial bacterial cell walls were the way to go.
