Salt and Vinegar Seasoning/Sprinkle - 500g Resealable Pouch

I had to write a review about this, as I am normally too lazy. But I had been on the search for a replica of the salt and vinegar seasoning from 'McCains Vibes' and I had to try a few not so great ones before I asked chat GBP to find me one closest to the one found in the vibes, and we did it! It's beautiful, I sprinkle this over everything, and it's especially great when I am trying to diet or just be healthy, I sprinkle this over celery, lettuce tomato cucumber - you name it! Chips for, everything! So glad I found this, hope this helps someone so you dont have to buy alot of rubbish ones first!

Taste Sensation Salt & Vinegar Seasoning I've been searching for some of this Salt & Vinegar seasoning for a while now, most that I've found have been in small quantities with not so good user reviews. I came across this Amazon listing a few days ago which had no reviews but it did sound as if it was what I was looking for. The seasoning arrived quickly, when I opened the box there was a strong smell of vinegar which was a good sign. The bag containing the seasoning was made from quite thick plastic, it had no signs of leaking so I guess it must have just been some loose powder from when it was packed. I have been looking for fine powder Salt & Vinegar seasoning as I wanted this to give unseasoned pork scratchings a bit of a tangy bite. I generously sprinkled some of this over a bowl of unseasoned pork scratchings, I gave them a good coating, then shook the bowl so that all was well coated. Now the taste test!... Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for, the taste is strong & tangy, these really do have that strong salt & vinegar taste, it's a very fine powder too, a bit like talcum powder consistency so it coats & sticks quite easily. This has such a great addictive flavour I am now going to experiment with this on other types of food. I originally purchased the 500 gram bag, I can't see this hanging around long so I've just ordered the larger 1.8 kg bag. It's one of those seasoning's that if you've finished eating the coated food, you then find yourself running your finger around the bowl trying to eat every last grain of seasoning. I bought this wanting something to put on savoury snacks to make them taste like salt and vinegar crisps/nuts etc. However, this is powdered malt vinegar, which isn't really what the vinegar in salt and vinegar crisps and nuts tastes of. It tastes really strongly of the malty part of the malt vinegar, and as a result isn't as amazing as I wanted it to be. However, it is what is says it is and I can't really fault it too much for that!

Not what I was expecting ie more tang. It tastes like it could be good but has an almost bicarbonate of soda background taste. Works as intended on homemade crisps. More vinegar flavour the better. Used twice no clumps yet.

Well, if you're like me and LOVE a really tangy, salt & vinegar flavour this is for you. I bought it for air heated popcorn and at first I was really disappointed because it does not stick at all. But, there is a solution!! If you want to get the flavour to stick and you want to keep your popcorn healthy, just give your popcorn a light spray of 'one cal' spray or similar and shake the flavouring through the bowl of popcorn. Repeat until you have the level of flavouring you want. It really sticks and your popcorn is still healthy AND you get the really tangy leftovers at the bottom, which I love. Also really great on hand cut, oven chips. I'm a salt and vinegar freak and this does it for me! You get a huge bag so great value for money. This will always be in my cupboard as long as they keep supplying it!

I love salt and vinegar in all it's forms - so much that I wanted a way to make things that don't taste like salt and vinegar taste like salt and vinegar! This was the ideal solution. I purchased a 500g gram bag and noticed that promising tickle in my nostrils as soon as I opened it. It's potent stuff and has a lovely, tangy, traditional salt and vinegar taste to it that is a great way to jazz up foods like pop corn or pork scratchings. Highly recommended.
