Mom LOVED this book!
My mom loves books that feature scary stories, and she LOVED this one. The book is large and thick with small print, and it took my mom a week to finish even though she's a very fast reader. She said she was getting nightmares from it (she isn't easy to scare) and that the stories were really scary. There are 27 chapters with a few stories in each chapter. There are also some illustrations and art, which makes it all the more scary. Her favorite stories are ; "The Creature at the Foot of Her Bed" and "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Bogeyman?", "Martha Learned Not To Put Her Hand Under Another's Bed" "The Black-Caped Flying Humanoid Who Attacked a Policeman", "Unseen Creatures Attacked With Rocks and Boulders" and "The Werewolf Has Always Been With Us".She reads the stories over and over, they are just that good. She likes it so much I'm going to read it myself soon!

A Brad Steiger compendium of Things that Go Bump in the Night
No explorer of the unusual should be without a "Brad Steiger" section--and this book in particular! Reminiscent of John Keels "Monsters from Beyond Time and Space," this is a good compilation of a wide variety of strange entities, with eyewitness testimonies, histories, and myths. There are a few good books by Brad Steiger that deserve inclusion into this bracket, as I'm sure anyone interested in the unknown already knows. Copyrighted 2011, and it's the newest of his that I know of.

Entertaining book, but AWFUL e-book formatting
So far I am enjoying the actual content of this book. It simply contains fun, scary and interesting stories about paranormal creatures, which is what I wanted. I'm giving it only three stars because the e-book formatting is atrocious. Words are misspelled, punctuation is off and it just looks kind of bad. There really is no excuse for how poor the e-book formatting has been done.

Fun Scary Stories
I really enjoy true anthology stories of creatures. This book had some stories I had never heard of, and that made me happy about my purchase. Sometimes these anthologies are all the same just different covers.

Great Book
This is my first Brad Steiger book and I'm really enjoying it. I'll definitely have to check out more of his publications after this.

Great Information on Monsters!
I love everything about cryptozoology, and I love hearing about monsters or everything paranormal. When I got this book, I started to read it right away. It was awesome, and the readings were fantastic. For all you monster lovers out there, this is the book just for you!

Horrorshow
