I also really like the red color against the space gray version of the 2018 MacBook Air. I also love that the webcam cover slides so you can choose to either cover the camera or uncover it for when you're facetiming someone. I also like that it came with little "plugs" to keep dirt from coming in the two charging ports and the headphone jack. However, this laptop case is EXTREMELY prone to fingerprints and dirt. The second I put the case on my computer, it had finger prints on it from just putting it on. I haven't figured out a good way to clean it either, I've tried Clorox wipes, plain wet rag, the wipe thing that comes with the set, even a rag with a bit of dish soap won't do the trick to fully get the fingerprints off. Even the keyboard cover is hard to clean. Also, the keyboard cover is not the same shade of red as the rest of the case. As you can see by the photos, the case is a beautiful, dark burgundy color, and the keyboard cover is like a brighter shade of red, which is disappointing. Also, if you just look at the picture of the product online, it looks like it has the outline of the apple logo on the case, but it doesn't in person. It's not a big deal to me, and I'm sure if I had the older MacBook Air that the apple logo would shine through, but I thought it was worth mentioning that if you have the 2018 version of the laptop, you won't be able to see the apple logo like it shows in the picture. I will definitely keep this case on my laptop, because I love how the red looks, but I hope I could eventually find a good way to clean away the the stubborn fingerprints. I took away one star for it being hard to keep clean, and another for not having a matching shade of red for they case and keyboard cover. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Comments on Durability *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2017* I ordered this case back in 2013 for my then-brand-new MacBook. I wanted something specifically that I could put stickers on without ruining the surface of the laptop and something that would prevent scratches, light water damage, and general wear-and-tear. The case fit perfectly, the color is very nice, and overall in these past 4 years it's done its job.I wanted to write this review mainly to comment on the durability and endurance of the case over a few years, in my experience. Just before I start, let me tell you how I've used this case & my laptop: I've hardly ever taken this case off my laptop in the 4 years I've owned it - maybe once every 4 months to clean it. I use my computer every single day and take very good care of it - never dropped it, never spilt anything on it, when I travel with it I put it inside another carrying case, etc.The corners of the case began to crack and basically disintegrate within 6 months of use and continued to do so over the 4 years that I've had it. They would crack and bits and pieces would fall off of every corner on both the top and bottom pieces of the case. This caused sharp edges that were sometimes uncomfortable, especially when using the computer when it was actually on my lap. I tried to MacGyver this by covering the edges with clear duct tape both to make the edges less sharp and prevent future cracks. The cracks still happened.One of the pieces that is used to clip the bottom cover onto the laptop broke off randomly one day after 3 years, so half of the bottom cover will sometimes come a little loose (this piece was on the right side, my dominant side, so wear-and-tear could just be the cause of that). It created a sharp surface that sometimes irritates my arm when typing or using the trackpad.One of the peg things on the bottom that provide slip resistance fell off after about 2 years, and there were no extra ones given to me.One of the vents in the bottom that allows for air flow broke/chipped, which led to a huge crack on the bottom that extends up to one of the already cracked corners.I had no problems with the keyboard cover. I stopped using it after a few months because I just didn't like the feeling of it when typing, but that's just a personal preference.TL;DR: Overall this case is okay, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. It's done its job as far as protecting the laptop, but the cracks in the corners began pretty shortly after I purchased it which is a major con if you ask me. It looks messy and it looks like I've had the case for way longer than I have as a result of the cracks. I've recently ordered a new one from a different brand that I hope works a little bit better; I should have done this about 2 years ago, honestly.This case looks cute at first, but don't expect it to last for the lifetime of your laptop. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great deal , really nice, worth it! The plastic covering does get scuffed up over time and the keyboard key cover starts to wear out, but I suppose that is to be expected. If you want it to stay nice you probably have to replace each year. The additional case is a great stretchy material and fits nice and tight.WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THE SCREEN PROTECTOR!
