Prismacolor97 Premier Double-Ended Art Markers, Fine and Chisel Tip, 24-Count with Carrying Case

This is most likely the best set of markers available. The price matches the quality. The dual tip is great too.

These markers work very well. I also use Copic Markers and I do prefer them over the Prismacolors, but this is a review for Prismas so I'll leave it at that! Prismacolor markers have beautiful color. The nibs are versatile and work well. Always use the markers before you use colored pencils, gel pens, chalk, crayon, or pastels. It will stain your nibs and possibly ruin them. Even pencil will do this if you go over a dark outline.I have been using these markers for over 15 years, and have made some beautiful pieces of art with them. They last a long time too. I have some from my first set in the early 2000s that still work perfectly. These had more of a multiliner on one end than the ones they make these days. Now its a "broad tip/fine tip" but the fine tip is thicker than it used to be. Still great though since you can buy the multiliners separately.I'm including a photo of one of my pieces that I did with these markers. I also used prismacolor colored pencils in it.

This is a great product. The price was great and the makers are quality markers. The tips on the pen make it really easy to do all kinds of things. I had bought these primacolor markers to do a design on a jacket which unfortunetly I have not done yet but Im still planning on doing. I bought them hoping they would not run on cloth. As of yet I dont have an answer to that at this time because as I have already stated I havent used them on cloth yet. But I do used them for a variety of other things such as cards, notes etc. When you buy these markers in quanity like this you get a much better price on them. This is a superior marker. I have a number of different types of markers for my art work and this is by far the better marker. I have bought these in the past and I would buy them again in the future.

As a designer, I wanted a few extra prismacolors simply for rendering in different colors. I think the quality of prismas are excellent, they don't really bleed much as long as you have good pen control, and they glide across your paper. The colors are vibrant and really speaks volumes about the superior standard prismacolor sets.I will however knock off a star simply because I was hoping for some of the colors to be closer in shade and hue for rendering shadows and giving volume to my drawings. That can be combatted by going through the drawing with a 2nd or 3rd pass, but sometimes can be too cumbersome and make your paper too wet in certain areas.I would recommend this pack if you're strictly looking for a few extra colors to add to your collection, but not if you're doing serious rendering. In that case, you'd need to seek out and buy those colors separately.

I purchased the Prismacolor 24 Count Double Ended Art Markers as a Christmas gift for my 12 year old niece, and she absolutely loves them! It has truly been a joy to watch her art come to life with these high quality markers. The colors blend well, and the broad and extra fine tips work great for filling in large areas of color or adding fine details. She has had them for a year and a half now, and the markers have held up incredibly well. They are not refillable and the nibs are not replaceable, but you can purchase individual replacement colors if one runs out. The case makes it easy to keep them organized on the go, and the price is very reasonable for such a high quality product! My niece's birthday is coming up, and she has asked for another set. I think I will treat her to the 48 count this time.*Personal purchase

Prismacolor markers are new to me, so I can't provide a review on quality. What I can do is provide a color review! If you're looking for something beyond the basic primary set, but also want to avoid breaking the bank on the mother load, this is a fantastic batch of colors for the price. 1 black, 5 assorted blue, 4 assorted green, 5 red-yellow scale, 4 pink/purple hues, and 4 earth tones. Saturation is great--the attached color swatch has mostly single stroke, and some double. The color is rich without having to apply several layers. And multiple layers seem to bleed together seamlessly.I've played around a bit with the colorless blender (NOT included in this set) and can't say I'm super thrilled with the results there. Definitely have had better success blending Faber-Castell artist pens. But again, I need to acquaint myself better with these.

These are supposed to be professional expensive markers but one of the markers (Sienna) is completely dried up and doesn't work: very disappointing.Would it be possible to have it replaced?Thanks

Been using both the dual brush markers and colored pencils by Prismacolor for years, and both have the best coverage than any other art utencil i have used. The pencils pigment prevents provides even and clear coloration, without unwanted uneven textures and white spots that other , cheap brans like crayola tend to have. Markers make projects make blending and shading easy by simply going over areas in layers that you want darker for shadows. Looks professional that if done right looks like it was made with digital media
