Vacuum Hose Adapter #5, Fits Hose with 1-1/2" Inside Diameter

.If you want to use commonly available 2-inch I.D. shop vac parts with 1-1/2" I.D. hose, this is your adapter right here.The female end has left hand threads to fit your 1-1/2" (Inside Diameter) vacuum hose.The male end is tapered from 2.275" diameter to 2.309" diameter. Fits my "2-inch" shop vac attachments and wands perfectly.It's not a swivel cuff, so you may have to forcibly rotate the threaded connection from time to time.- - - Alternatives - - -If you're handy and you want a cheaper solution, you can use PVC pipe adapters, available at any large hardware store. Get a 1-1/2" to 2" PVC reducer for about $1.50. One end will press-fit to your 1-1/2" hose (add a little masking tape to the hose end if necessary). The other end is about 2.36" outside diameter. This is where your belt sander comes in. You can grind it down to the above taper dimensions in a few minutes. Stick a piece of 1-1/2 PVC pipe to it for easier handling while you sand.~~~ Comments & questions welcome ~~~

This is a hard to find item in your local hardware store. The hoses are easy to find but the fittings are not. This is a sturdy adapter and was what I needed to connect my new hose to the old shop vacuum.

Awesome tool to extend your vacuum hose. I used a 50 foot pool hose. Pool hose is the exact size that the ridged vacuums use.

Like everything I've perches from this vendor this is a well made, solid and durable product which serves its intended purpose. This is where I'll go when I need more.

Not a lot of description on this thing but it looked like the right item so I ordered it. It screws on perfectly to my Mr. Nozzle and other 1-1/2 inch vac hoses and the larger end is a perfect fit in my Wap shop vac.

It's the same piece that came with the hose, so a perfect replacement.Unfortunately it does not resist being closed in a van's door any better than the original part.
