Dolmarehn
As with the first book and the extra novella this book is incredible. I started the series thinking it would be like alot of fae stories but was happily surprised by the clear crisp writing and the plotting. This second book picks up right at the end of the first and you can't put it down for long after you start. It is extremely creative and thrilling as the characters come alive and you find yourself cheering for them. Also the endings never leave you totally hanging, just wanting to read the next book to know what happens. I know I will miss these people when I finish this final book. A must read for fantasy lovers

Better than the first, loving Cade more
I give it four stars because the MC was a little too good to believe at times. As in, her personality was somewhat hard to take because she was kind of too nice and perfect. Hard to explain other than that. She did speak her mind finally toward the end a few times and with her mother, but she was just so damn nice sometimes that I wondered when she was going to finally get mad about something and stop spouting off flowery prose and say something with more guts and less sentimental emotion. Her thoughts are a little juvenile at times, which translates into annoying. But it's also a part of her written personality I realized and we can't all be Katniss Everdeen. Fortunately she does grow as the story progresses and thankfully most of that disappears midway through. Having said all that, she's a great match for Cade. And the dynamic between then is top notch. He's really fleshed-out. In fact, I daresay that Cade is actually the character that makes the story special, not the MC at all. He sort of gives her a purpose in the plot, instead of the other way around. Hands down, he's the character that holds my attention. Though he doesn't say much, when he does speak his words count. But louder than that are his actions. He's an honorable and likable character. Very crush-worthy.This book was so much better and more interesting plot-wise than the first one. The details revealed are satisfying and I want to know what happens next. If it weren't 2:45am I'd start oven the next installment right now ;)

It's official, I want my own spirit guide....a Kestrel would nice or a Sheltie Collie. :0)
It's official, I want my own spirit guide....a Kestrel would nice or a Sheltie Collie. :0)Dolmarehn is the second book about the Otherworld and Meghan's story by Jenna Elizabeth Johnson. The story is told in first person from Meghan Elam's perspective. I'll admit it, I love details, but I also want to kick Meghan's backside a few times..... however I'll also admit that I have a tendency to hash over things in my thoughts a lot too. Oops. Sadly, no spirit guide though, but I do have a puppy...who by the way also loves listening to audio books and listened to all of these with me. Seriously, she made a point to be close by and not with the rest of the family when the story was being read.Warning - if you haven't read Faelorehn yet stop here, there be hints at spoilers ahead.Meghan Elam's first trip through the Dolmarehn into Eile in Faelorehn was a disaster, a trick of The Morrigan and now her protective geis is broken. The Otherworld Faelah can harm her and Meghan, under the distant guidance of Caeden MacRoich and protection of his spirit guide Fergus, must learn how to protect herself, why The Morrigan wants her, and the place and people she came from all those years ago.The journey during her senior year of high school is not an easy one. She has to recover from her attack, avoid Faelah, and practice her archery. Cade is far away most of the time, fulfilling punishment for breaking his own geis. Meghan wishes they were closer and hashes over her feelings and every which way she can guess about his when he's not there. Fergus protects Meghan, but then he's not protecting Cade. That's when Meridian arrives from Eile and Meghan's life changes again.Cade takes Meghan through the Dolmarehn to try to recharge her glamour after living in our world most of her life. Amidst trying to understand herself and her world, Meghan tries to discover why Cade keeps distancing himself and what secrets he's keeping from her.In Eile we are introduced, with Meghan, to a few vastly different characters that will shape the future and each in their own turn guide Meghan into who she will become. She's grown so much already but there's so much for her to learn and to do, and there's still The Morrigan waiting in the shadows for the proper moment and when she strikes lives will be lost and the Elam family will never be the same again.I started out with the Kindle version and also bought the Audible audio book version (audio my preferred method) and acquired the rest of the stories available. I took a road maybe a little less traveled and read Faelorehn (Book 1) then Dolmarehn (Book 2) which are both told from Meghan's point of view. Then I couldn't resist and read/listened to Ghalien then Ehriad (Books 4 & 5) which are told from Cade's point of view...some of the events from the first two books from his perspective plus new adventures. Then I read Luathara, which is actually Book 3.I recommend all of these books. I own the Kindle and Audible versions of each and will be rereading/relistening to them again.Next journey to Luathara...

Beautifully written romantic fantasy!
I usually never write reviews but this book was so good I just had to. The author does an amazing job with the story setting and characters. I got so swept up I could literally picture them in my mind. I love the characters and appreciated the innocence and sweetness of the love story. Very romantic and not trashy at all. She also does a great job combining just enough fantasy with reality to make it all believable. I am adult and thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am ordering the sequel.

Worth the read
I liked this book much more than I liked the first one in the trilogy. The characters matured and I felt like the storyline wasn't as sluggish. That being said, had I not read the first book I don't know that I would have enjoyed this book as much. I really liked that the Otherworld was better explained in detail so you could get a better picture of it. I'm interested in seeing how the main character's relationships develop and look forward to the next book in the trilogy.

Books one and two of the Otherworld Trilogy
Since book One was part of a book including the first books from six different authors (which I loved) and I read Book two as a standalone, and I'm ready to start Book three, I think I'll wait and give you my full Review on the entire Trilogy. I if you don't want to wait until I finish, a day or two at most, the go for it! You won't be sorry! These are great books with, so far, a well-tied-together story and I'm expecting Book Three to be truly exciting!!!

Great
Loved this book almost as much as the first book, the difference was that Meghan annoyed me a bit with her self absorption ( I know she is very young ) but then she changed when she started defending Cade, loved the ending. Now onto the next book.

I really enjoyed Dolmarehn it was definitely better the the first in the series. It keeps you on the edge of ur seat and there is always something exciting just waiting to happen.I loved it when cade thought he was going to die and admitted he loves Meghan, took him long enough to admit how he feels for her.I'm looking forward to finding out what happens when cade recovers and what happens between them both.I liked it how the dagda really likes Meghan and reckon they will get on really well.Im giving this 5 stars because its a really good book and now im looking forward to the third one.
