It does fray a little but nothing to worry about. I made a canopy and left the edges raw through the middle seam **Q: Can this be used for replacement sun lounger fabric?** A: Yes I have re covered all my garden chairs in this fabric **Q: Which side should be the outer side on garden cushion covers?** A: I used the shinier side as the outer side, has slightly raised self pattern, also need to cut pieces the same way. **Q: Which sewing machine needle, waterproof thread and zips can I use with this.
