Review: Quick holder is easy and fast - A good way to mount the power feeder to your machine table. I do see some limitations . If your table is rather small like the small Grizzly G0510 series shaper it may be challenging to mount. If your table is rather large like some tables saws then you may not have enough reach with the power feeder arms. if you mount the plate with the holes for the power feeder base away from the table. It is fairly easy to mount the plate to place the power feeder closer to your desired location. I do like this as it is not permanent and offers a variety of mounting options. Its a great way to test out where you would like to drill and mount your power feeder before you drill and mount your power feeder. Or to mount it for short runs on say a table saw. The numerous holes allow for a wide variety of options to attach it to your machine. It does raise the base of the power feeder a little above the table surface and I needed to use the included spacers and it mounted just fine. The plate is 3/8" thick, 6" wide and 11 1/4" long. There are 4 threaded holes to mount the power feeder base and the rest are drilled holes. The angle has threaded holes for the 2 longer bolts. The price seems a bit steep but it does save a bunch of time mounting the power feeder. Review: Does not fit my feeder - This is one of those situations where I wanted it fast but there wasn’t a lot of information given and I didn’t take the time to really investigate further. I just looked at the pictures and read the “fits most” statement then pulled the trigger. I have a secondhand Holz Her feeder arm attached to a Shop Fox roller feeder. Apparently my feeder arm base is much larger than those shown in the pics. The actual mounting holes on THIS mounting bracket are tapped M10x1.5 @ 2.5”oc (square pattern). The plate is 3/8” thk with (33) 10.25mm holes. The lower bracket is cast iron with a 3/8” thk bottom flange and (9) 10x1.5 holes tapped tight to the 3/16” sidewall, leaving 7/8” flange beyond the holes to grab the machine table. The plate mounting bolts are 100mm long for a max machine table thickness of about 3”. The arm mounting bolts include 10mm thk self centering spacer washers and 34.5mm lg bolts for a max arm base thickness of about 12.5mm. I’m not the best at describing these measurements but I hope that what I have provided will help someone in the future. Oh, quality-wise everything seems fine assuming the 3/8” thk plate is stout enough to take the bending force and the cast iron bracket doesn’t crack but since I can’t mount my feeder I don’t know for sure. Other than that, all parts are nicely powder coated or have good black oxide finish (nothing rusty). 4-Stars only because it’s not universal and I couldn’t try it out.
