Review: You don't need a fancy capture card, just get this! - I use this for a capture card setup, splitting the picture out from my Nintendo Switch to an external monitor and to my computer. My monitors don't have HDMI out so this is a cheap way to get a stream setup! The picture quality is great, and the connectivity is fine. It works as described, so what else can I say about it? The length of the AC adapter cable should be fine for most setups, but if you don't do much AV stuff it might be easy to not realize that this thing needs a power supply in order to work, so keep that in mind! It is made of a nice durable metal material so I'm not worried about it being knocked around sometimes.

**Q: My kitchen tv has only one HDMI port. I want to split the signal to a Tivo Roamio and a Roku. Will this do it?**
A: If you want both devices to be able to use the HDMI port on the TV, you need an HDMI switch not a HDMI splitter.  A splitter provides the same signal to two different receivers.  A switch will take two different HDMI sources or transmitters and make either available from one or the other to a receiver (the TV in your case).  Hence, this splitter will not work for you.

**Q: Will this work while one of the displays is off?  (Some other HDMI splitters only work if both displays are on and have the HDMI input selected)**
A: I split the output of my cable box to the tv and an HDMI transmitter (to a tv outside on the patio). I only power on the HDMI transmitter when I need it, so from my experience you don’t have to have both on. Interesting question. Maybe there is some port priority such that one has to be on? We f so I am just lucky 🍀.

**Q: The description says that it supports 4K but the comparison chart says that it does not. Which is it?**
A: This splitter only supports up to 1080p resolution. To my knowledge, this does not support 4K resolution

**Q: I want to use my splitter to connect, my ps3, uverse reciever, and blu ray player. to my sony surround sound reciever, for surround sound?**
A: You cannot use this for that purpose; this is an "HDMI splitter", which was built to take one HDMI source and output that to a maximum of 4 HDTV's (like in a sports bar).Because what you want is surround sound from all three devices (and without knowing the type of receiver you have) your options are: - If your Receiver has only one or two HDMI inputs - you will need to add a "HDMI Switch", to accommodate all three devices.- If your Receiver has no HDMI inputs - it is better to get a new Receiver with atleast 3 HDMI inputs.- If your Receiver has three or more HDMI inputs - you are fine, just connect your devices to the Receiver.I hope this helps....

Works great. Plug and play. Don't forget that 3rd HDMI cable between your device and the splitter. 🤦 Also, it needs power. It comes with a USB cable for this purpose. I have 2 tvs on one direct tv box. Using the rf controller I have one controller for each tv. Works great!!one tv upstairs and one downstairs. Usually just watching one on the tvs. Very convenient. Of course if both tvs were being watched at the same time they would both have to watch the same channel
