great microphone holder for a violinist
I use this on a weekly basis for a violinist in our church worship team. It holds the mic in a great position to get a clear sound from the instrument and does not cease in tuning or playing problems for the musician. I would recommend this for anyone needing to mic a violinist in a recording or live environment.

Fast on, fast off. Works with Pro-35 mic.
It does work with the Audio-Technica PRO-35 Pro Series Microphone, but you do have to remove the wind screen on the mic. Not generally a problem unless you breathe heavily right down the tailpiece. The mount does stick out beyond the strings on both sides behind the bridge, but that's no big deal. I like that it's fast on, fast off.

The placement of the mic was not good for my violin
The placement of the mic was not good for my violin. I ultimately bought the other model from audio technica that allows you to place the mic closer to the sound hole. That works really well.

Great Invention!!!
These are great. I use them to mic my mandolin and octave mandolin, and they work very good. They don't get in the way, feedback isn't as bad as having the mic in front of you, and best of all, you can move around and not focus on being in front of the mic. I bought three.

Great violin mic holder
Using this to strap on an Audio Technica U853R to violin. Fast, easy on and off. Mic well positioned for good sound pickup.
