Loud Whistle
It is a good whistle and loud. Has a somewhat unique sound compared to the widely popular Fox 40’s which are widely used in my area. It is nice to have a whistle with a unique sound when you have whistles on fields next to you. I carry this and a Fox 40 Sonic on the field, and leave a Fox 40 Classic in my bag as a back-up. Like all 3 equally well.

bright red whistle
Mine has no stone inside (I don't know if it's called a stone), so it makes just a loud whistle, without the on/off sound. When I bought it, the site indicated it was the loudest around. This same company makes one louder. Still, this one is rated for quite a distance.

Very, very loud
I've purchased several whistles for dog work, and this is by far the loudest. The only downside is it's hard to modulate to get a reasonable volume, and at full blast I think it actually causes hearing damage.

The one I received is junk. You have to blow really hard to get any decent sound at all and then it sounds like one of those silent dog whistles. I'd send it back but not worth the effort
