Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire: The Official National Pokédex [Pokemon Company International] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire: The Official National Pokédex Review: Essential for the non-cheating breeder! - This is a great companion to the serious Pokemon gamer, especially if you're the type of player who believes the real game begins once the storyline is over. Move lists, ability and nature charts, descriptions of everything at your fingertips. Perfect for discovering that perfect move set for breeding, or which stats would be better to level up versus others. You may know that all this info is available online and through various pokedex apps, but having it in this tangible form will bring a little tear of joy to your eye. So worth it even if you don't breed but just want to discover everything the game offers. There's no spoilers either, as they just offer up locations of things. You still get to do the hard work of pinpointing. Be true to the game. Don't cheat with pokegen programs and that trash. What's the point of playing? If you respect the game, this book will be your best friend. Review: This book is AMAZING. I was very hesitant to purchase it because ... - This book is AMAZING. I was very hesitant to purchase it because I was unsure of the information it held. But it's very well organized, the Pokémon are ordered by their National Dex number. It has a list of all the moves each individual pokemon can learn, either by leveling up, from TMs and HMs or where certain people are that can teach special moves. The book also has each evolution including mega evolutions and where the stones are located to mega evolve the pokemon that are capable. Some lesser things but also fun to have are the little sections near the pokemon that show sex differences (if any) and their Pokédex entries that you'd see on Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. There are also little check boxes near the Pokémon entries so you can keep physical track of what you have captured. This also comes in list form in the beginning of the book. Someone earlier said that it's like someone put Serebii.net in a book, and it is nearly that. The only thing this is missing is the shiny forms of each Pokémon. Lastly, the poster is incredible, showing up to 720 Pokémon. My only con is that the cover doesn't respond well to use. I literally just opened the book, and not even the whole way (because I like to keep my books looking as new and clean as possible) and now it doesn't close. The pages don't respond well either and the humidity is a strong destroyer. But for someone who hates having to Google everything when you're really trying to complete the Pokedex, this book is a God send.

Great guide
At the time, it was a go to for the games.

Nearly Perfect
This is the most comprehensive pokedex book I've ever seen. Apart from the obvious, it includes the location of all items, has detailed information of all moves and abilities, natures, and to my surprise, even has a part about EV training and which hordes to battle to be most efficient. I already knew about that but the fact that the competitive game is mentioned is a welcome surprise. My only complaint is that base stats are represented by bars instead of numbers, which would be infinitely better. That's too small of an issue to take away a star though. A must buy for any competitive battler so they can check any info whenever an internet connection isn't available.

A Much Recommended Guide
I got back into playing Omega Ruby again because, this might be my only source of gaming for a while. In addition, I prefer to know the last move before evolution. I then compared my options to find a suitable seller. First off, this starts out with a short primer because, some things have changed. For instance, Mega Evolutions have been added, so there are tips for that. Also, it has many detailed entries that contain moves and egg groups. (That's quite helpful for when you want to breed.) Granted, the text is small. Then again, what do you expect? On another note, I read in previous reviews that Hoopa and Volcanion were left out. I did a little research, and found out that they're event pokémon that wouldn't be released until next year. Still, I won't discredit that claim-to an extent because, (I assume) one of the earlier reviews said that the creator(s) knew about them at the time. However, I thought about it later, and realized that would count as a leak. The last time I checked, those were looked down upon. That aside, there are guides explaining moves and abilities already mentioned. There's even a reverse look up section. There's also another one explaining where every item is found. Speaking of the guides, I found that on Legendaries could've use more work. I say that because, it's inaccurate in saying you need to become the Champion first. In reality, you just need to complete the main story (finish the trial in the Cave of Origin) to start. You may need to wait for Zekrom/Reshiram and Kyurem because, you need a max-level Pokémon and to trade/use Pokémon Bank, though. It also mentioned Heatran, who's in a ring at the bottom of Scorched Slab. Furthermore, it's also vague because, it mentions some of them can be only be caught at certain times. However, it doesn't specify when. It also mentions that three of them can only be caught depending on the day, and even then there's multiple chances to catch them during the week. And you need three Pokémon with Max Effort Values, which you can get from using them long enough. Granted, I fulfilled that requirement by becoming the Champion. On another note, I found another issue that could've been improved. It's the binding because, while it's nice to look at, it's also why the front flap bends. In fact, I've noticed reviewers complaining that happens whether or not it's humid. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if someone else was right in saying they used foil. All that said, this is a rather thick guide with plenty of helpful information. However, it's also vague at times. (I assume that's because you're supposed to use it with a guide.) That said, I recommend it if you either have it or are considering buying the game.

Gotta' Catch 'Em All!
Finallyyyyyy!! A complete PokeDex! I have been waiting for this since the anniversary release forever and a half ago. >w< I am very happy with the overall layout and organization of the entire book. While it can be a little annoying needing to bring to book closer in order to read some of the smaller text, it's not a deal breaker given how much information they need to put into the book. From a designer's perceptive, they made the right decisions and it could have been A LOT worse. xD This is definitely worth it for any Pokemon lover. It is extremely detailed and very helpful in "catching them all." :)

Awesome book, shiny embossed cover too! Ton's of information on over 700 Pokemon which is great for me because I only know the first 151. Lots of information on moves, use able TMs, HMs, and evolutions. (And that's just from what I've seen flipping through quickly. Will definitely be getting tons of use out of this and soon be a Pokemaster. The poster is really awesome as well, i'm going to frame mine. :)

Firstly, I would like to thank the Pokémon Company (and everyone else involved) for making such an outstanding Pokédex. This is the best Pokédex available in print form that you will find and great value for money. It fulfills everything it promised, is very comprehensive and has an amazing amount of information for almost every Pokémon, including movesets, item and TM/HM locations, detailed explanations of moves and abilities, as well as an assortment of other information that is welcome to any Pokémon fan. The layout and artwork are also beautiful. But I do have some minor issues with the book, as it feels a little incomplete or lacking in the following aspects: * Breeding - there is no mention how the Breeding mechanics in this game work, such as how moves are passed onto baby Pokémon or how long Eggs take to hatch. It only mentions which Egg groups a Pokémon belongs to. * Shiny Pokémon - even though the Pokédex provides some brilliant artwork with the Pokédex entries, it would have been nice to see what the Shiny versions of each Pokémon looked like without having to browse online. * Contests - taking into account that Heonn was the first game to incorporate this new mechanic and how it showcased that Pokémon could be enjoyed for more than battling, I find it a little underwhelming that for a Pokédex with an extensive guide on moves and abilities, they make no mention how or what moves do in Contests. A little section also explaining Contests in general would have also been nice, especially since the post-game content is somewhat limited. * EVs (and IVs) - the Pokédex vaguely mentions which wild Pokémon give you what EVs, but this list is incomplete and could have been added to the Pokédex entries of each Pokémon instead. Maybe they could have also given a brief explanation of what EVs do, for those wishing to play or improve battling competitively. * Base Stats - the Base Stats are shown as bars not numbers, which makes it harder to analyse and compare what Pokémon are good at. * Cover - as it does not come in a hard cover format, it is easily damaged and you must be extra careful when it comes to handling the Pokédex. But brushing these minor cons aside, this is an EXCELLENT Pokédex to the generation 6 Pokémon games of Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby and worth every penny spent! I highly recommend it to all Pokémon fans and it makes for an incredible present!

Great Book. I would not say I'm an expert in Pokemon, but I would say I'm very good. Still this Book is a handy addition and a helpful Guide to all the 721 Pokemon you can encounter in Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.. It lists lots of useful Information and is an almost essential Addition to Game Play
