Great product, works well but the size is way off
My 3 year old broke his arm and this was the best solution for shower time , there is no way Water can get through it and that’s why I gave it 5 stars . Before it arrived I’ve used plastic wrap and it was also working well but it wasn’t so much earth friendly and he didn’t like how it’s sticks to his skin when i had to take it off; Also this product is well made , dryers well and very thick , The only thing I find annoying is that’s it is so big , it can easily fit a grown mans arm , and it is targeting children. But it does work and it’s temporary so I find it worth the money

SAVED MY CHILDS SUMMER- GREAT FOR SWIMMING WITH SPECIFIC PROTOCOL- SEE BELOW
I waited 3 weeks before writing review. My son broke his arm a few days before camp (forearm cast to elbow)- they swim twice a day and do water sports. Like other reviewers I was scared of this thing failing, so took extra precautions that are ESSENTIAL. If you do this, the cast protector worked great. After daily repeated usage, his cast is dry and doing well. His is a thin 6 y/o and the pediatric small was tight and comfortable. Here are the rules: 1. wrap the cast tightly and completely with a layer of GLAD PRESS AND SEAL. Make sure to apply two inches above cast. (His counselors were educated on how to do this simple step) 2. Put a sock over the this. 3. After applying cover make sure you dip arm in pool, open seal and press out extra air. After day 1 or two, there was ALWAYS, moisture and a bitof water inside the cover, but it was not substantial, the sock and press and seal protected the cast. At the end of the each day, I turned the cover inside out to dry it. three weeks later he has been able to enjoy his camp like everyone else :-)

Worth purchasing despite a few negatives. Edit- only lasts a month
Works perfectly and has withstood a month of daily use so far with no signs of issues. There are a few caveats to it's use, however, making it only a 4 star product instead of 5 stars. It is tremendously long and impossible to use your fingers for any fine motor activities like washing dishes (tip, use a regular medical glove and you'll be fine unless you're messy or scrubbing a giant pot) or washing your hair. I'm a tall female with very long arms so make sure you consider how far up your arm that you want this to go. I do wish I had taken this into consideration and bought a child size. I found that putting the waterproof band just below my elbow (forearm/short cast) and using a hair tie or rubberband to contain the loose plastic worked best. My second cast needed to include lots of extra padding and is very wide but I still have no issues getting the cover on so fit related to width is not an issue. I will say that it is extremely tight and you don't want to use it for a long time but this is a great feature as you know that there's no chance of water getting in if you put it on right. Despite the negatives I highly recommend purchasing it for home use. Edit: Does NOT work perfectly and I can't seem to find a way to contact the seller. I wrote this review the day the return window closed and a day later it had water in it. Thinking it was my mistake and I dripped some water in after I took it off I put it on again the next morning and nope. Attached a picture to show the hole at the seam. This is not at the tight band for closure but a cm or so away so this spot doesn't even touch my skin. I don't see any way this could have even happened nor have I used it for anything other than showering due to its cumbersome size. The hole renders the entire product useless for me and I had really hoped to use it for the lifetime of my casting needs. I will be having surgery next week and then two weeks in a splint followed by 12 more in another hard cast and then an indeterminate number of weeks back in a different splint. This means I'd theoretically need to purchase four or five more just to get to the point where I can fully use my arm again... $75 without tax on the conservative end so I think it's time to try another brand or go back to using doubled up produce bags and rubberbands.

Don't waste your money
Was scheduled for hand surgery and ordered it ahead of time. When it came I attempted to put it on to see if it would work despite its length which must be made for a 7 footer, but I could barely get it on because of the small opening at the top. I finally did but it was so tight that it practically stopped my circulation. I'm not huge--size 6 female and couldn't imagine how I would get it on with bandaging. Since it was unusable I decided to return it with Amazons great policy. Message came up that it was nonreturnable. What? Nowhere did it say that so I called. I was told that was correct but then the representative checked the listing and couldn't find anything either. He told me they couldn't take it back and to do whatever I wanted with it, but refunded my money and then asked me to check my email for a confirmation while he waited. Wonderful customer service! Now 3 days after surgery with a huge cast/splint covered with bandaging, and have used it once so far--after having help cuttting off the top , securing it with a band and holding arm outside of shower. Doing that protected bandaging from spray but wasn't my first choice. Less than 2 weeks to go before getting bandages off and going into a removable hard splint so at this point I'll make do. My take--you'd be better off with a free umbrella bag from inside a store entry, secured with a rubber band than this!

Need a helper to put on/off. Will keep water out; too much condensation if you use it for hot tub.
Broke my wrist. Needed a cast protector for shower and also wanted to use in the hot tub. Pros: Material is like a shower curtain so it's going to hold up forever (long after my cast is gone, no doubt). Super big, easily would go up to my shoulder with plenty of length and width to spare. Absolutely seals so no fear of water damage. Cons: You cannot put this on or take off without help. The seal is made of strong elastic rubber which requires my husband to stttreeettch it for me to put my painful wrist through. It is a tight band so I'm happy when the shower is done. Note re: hot tub: The seal absolutely worked but arm sweated alot and resulted in significant condensation especially around my hand. Used hairdryer on cool setting to dry it. Doc suggested if I trust myself, better to take hot tub with arm hanging out and not bother with a cover.
