George Kovacs P5042-077-L, Saber II Bath Fixture, Chrome - LED

Purchased a pair of these fixtures to light a large round mirror over our new bathroom vanity. Shipping and packing were fine, fixtures are of good quality (cast metal housings, matte black finish, with white frosted glass diffusers that thread onto the housing.) We installed these vertically, on each side of the mirror; it was quite tricky to get the spacing right, and getting the in-wall electric boxes properly oriented so the fixtures would be perfectly vertical. Think it through and use a level. Also, the fixtures are not shipped with bulbs, and they need an unusual T10 lamp (that's the shape of the glass envelope, long and skinny, 10mm diameter). I found LED lamps in the T10 configuration on Amazon, and these have worked out very well -- strongly recommend a dimmer switch, and get one that is rated for use with LED lamps.

Beautiful, and exactly as described. I installed this fixture horizontally with no problem. For extra security, I found it very helpful to use teflon tape on the glass threads when screwing in the side glass pieces. As for brightness, that will depend on your choice of lightbulbs, not the fixture.

We're changing out our lighting fixtures throughout the house in an effort to modernize. This light caught my eye, and I decided it'd be the perfect fixture for the part of the bathroom that has the tub, sink, and toilet.It feels like a quality fixture, has an elegant, modernistic beauty, and was easy to install. I really, really like the look.Bulbs did not come with the fixture. You will need two T10 60W bulbs. We had to go to two different large hardware stores before finding 40 W bulbs.No one had the 60 W bulbs. They were around $5.00 each.Also, one thing I don't like is that I can see the filament from the light bulb inside one side of the fixture. I'd prefer not to see it.All in all, though, I'm glad I bought it, and I'd definitely look at other Kovacs fixtures.

Looks great. Well made. Requires an odd sized bulb that limits your options for color and brightness. The glass also reduces so small at the part that screws into the fixture that it would not fit over an installed bulb. I literally had to slide the bulb down the glass tubes and then attempt to screw the bulbs in with the glass already around them. This was a pain. Just hope that my LED bulbs last forever.

This light fixture is exactly what I was looking for: sleek, simple, and modern. I have it hanging horizontally over my vanity mirror and it gives off enough light for my 5x8 bathroom. The hard part was finding the perfect bulb.I started with the GE Lighting 32287 LED Bright Stik 10-watt, 760 lumen light bulb with medium base in Daylight color. It was much too bright. It looked like a cheap fluorescent light.Then I tried the Satco S3899 120-volt 60-watt T10 medium base frosted light bulb. It put off a dull, very yellow light.Finally, I tried the GE Lighting 32282 LED Bright Stik 10-watt, 760-Lumen light bulb with Medium Base in Soft White color. This one puts off the perfect bright lighting that looks natural. Winner winner, chicken dinner!

I really like this fixture. It is not ideal for the space I put it in but since we really liked the look of it we will make it work. If you are looking to get this make sure you have twice the length of one of the shades on each side of the fixture uniterrupted so that you can put the shade on after attaching the really long bulb. Also the bulbs recommended for this give a warm yellow light. I am not sure if there are other options so it does not look like it does in the picture with the white light.

I ordered 2 of the exact same George Kovacs Saber wall sconces and they do not match. The LED light panels were manufactured differently and don’t emit the same light. Additionally the glass sconce shades are different finishes. After the electrician installed both sconces over my bathroom vanity it’s painfully obvious they are not the same fixtures. I triple checked the product packaging and both fixtures were labeled with identical model numbers. Can’t recommend.

Clean sophisticated design at a great price is not always easy to find. This hits on all levels!
