This is the quintessential, aphoristic work, constituting one of the earliest recordings of the Maharshi s teachings, that spells out the nature of the Self and the practice of Self-Inquiry. The text begins as follows: All living beings desire to be happy always, without any misery. In everyone there is observed supreme love for oneself. And happiness alone is the cause of love. In order therefore, to gain that happiness which is one's nature and which is experienced in the state of deep sleep, where there is no mind, one should know oneself. To achieve this, the Path of Knowledge, the enquiry in the form of 'Who Am I?' is the principal means. There maybe slight bends on the cover of the book due to transportation from India. The inside of the book is not affected. Review: Great insights - Loved the read. The instruction was simple, the comprehesion is challenging if you are not able to approach this read objectiveley Review: a lot of wisdom! - A lot of wisdom for contemplation as I’m exploring non duality. Look forward to reading more Maharsi teachings. I’m also researching Zen and the Dao and seeing come common ground.

THANK YOU, RAMANA MAHARSHI
Ramana became my main human guru in this life about two years ago, and has possibly been the most noticeably transformative for me, though, without the preparation from the others throughout my earlier life, this may have not been noticeable. Christ having been my first known guru in this life. (Though both my grandmothers were in some ways, also gurus to me, though unbeknownst to them) Buddha my second, then Soka Gakkai Nichiren Buddhism played its part, then Eckhart Tolle, then Ramana. Nisargadatta Maharaj and Papaji, also of the time of Ramana, have been guru's for me as well. However, it is Ramana and his direct path to enlightenment that has guided me most directly. I know however, that all find their needed guru(s) according to their own need and spiritual path. The wisdom of the path directed by Ramana is simple and to the point. Not all will be ready for this. If you are ready, it will come to you, and you will know.

Excellent Question and Answer Format.
I got this book because of the title: Teachings of Ramana Marharshi. The highest truth that Sri Ramana Marharshi has imparted to seekers is that nothing is real but the Self, and that the individual soul, world, and God are nothing but the Self, is a very subtle truth not easily grasped by the mind. The question and answer format is like sequential steps guiding the seeker, one question and answer at a time toward greater clarity into the method of Self-inquiry. Even though I was quite disappointed at first by how brief the pages were, those 28 questions and answers have packed the entire truth of the universe in the palms of our hands. I'm very grateful for the publisher's contribution in making the Sage's teachings into a user-friendly version. It was truly a creative endeavor and service to all sincere seekers truth.Thank you!

A path to liberation in three simple words.
When we quiet our mind with the thought “Who Am I?” our thoughts (and indeed the world they create) are destroyed until the mind recedes back into the heart, and only Awareness remains. This is Existence-Happiness-Bliss. It is liberation from the misery of desire and fear, and it is a return to our origin. Although this book is extremely short, it introduces a powerful practice of self-inquiry capable of transforming ourselves and our world. Thoughts arise, but they are not us. The world seems real, but it is projected from our mind. We seem separate, but we are one.

Peace to All. Short Read.
Short Answers. Not a Book. Just Answers to Questions we ask ourselves all the time. Recommend reading if you’re into Asking yourself Who am I? Since you’re a kid.

Who am I
Ramana Maharshi deixa muito claro em suas respostas a essência do processo místico da libertação espiritual por ocasião da descoberta de nossa verdadeira natureza, desmistificando e esclarecendo de forma direta e simples, facilitando sua compreenção.
