These are the best veggie bags ever! They are lightweight and see through. I've even gotten compliments from grocery store employees. You can also wash them with your regular laundry. They are so thin, you can air dry them. A few have found their way into the dryer and they always come out fine. Great product! Highlight recommend!

We have been very happy with these bags. We use them for all our produce and they have been perfect for us. They are strong (we have filled them with apples - about 8 or so - with no wear) and they are a good size (accommodate lettuce and kale). They also cause no issues at the checkout as they are easy to see through. They also clean incredibly easily - we wash by hand or just throw through the wash. We have been using them for 6 months and they look new. If you are on the fence about trying produce bags it actually makes shopping easier (in addition to no plastic bags!) - no more looking for where the dispensers are or fussing with the plastic bags - you just have a bag with you when you need it.

These were a gift to my daughter, but she has brought them home occasionally. They are amazing! They help save the environment, and they feel nice and work so well! They wash very well & are easy to use. In addition, they are soft on produce, are attractive & convenient, and inexpensive. I give them a definite "thumbs UP!" She has had these for a year now, uses them with every shopping trip, and they still look new.

These produce bags are strong, and made of lightweight mesh. I had been using a set of three I bought in a grocery store something like ten years ago (still in great shape), and finally decided I needed more. I was so pleased to find that Earthwise still makes them.I only use them for dry produce because I don’t want to have to wash them, but it’s nice to know that they are washable should I decide to totally eliminate plastic produce bags.My only minor complaint is that the drawstring doesn’t stay closed very well. It would be nice to have a fix for that.

I will address the mesh fabric, seams, and drawstring in this review. Before I proceed, I will say that the bags are a practical size for most produce purchases, but long things like celery and fennel probably will not fit in the bag.The mesh seems adequate for most produce, but I worry about filling the bags completely. It feels like the fabric will hit its strength limit if I fill it with something dense, bulky, and tapered, like sweet potatoes that have those rough ends on them. I realize that the fabric was chosen with low tare weights in mind, so I will not fault the bag or its producer. Overall, the fabric seems well-chosen as long as the consumer bears its limitation in mind.The seams are an area that I feel is inadequate, and I would like to see them strengthened. Even cursory prodding at the seams causes them to separate and strain the thin thread. If the seams were stitched tighter, doubled, or both, they wouldn't be an issue for me.Regarding the lack of drawstring retainer, I just spent a few minuted googling how to tie a slipknot and tied one in all my bags' drawstrings. This way I can cinch them closed without adding extra pieces or tieing a knot at the store every time (as pictured).Basically, these are decent bags for the vast majority of produce and light-duty needs.

Much much better than compostable bags, but produce falls out.Make a tiny cut opposite the existing opening, pull the cord out and knot it. When the bag is full use a loose square knot and you're good to go

Extremely useful and sturdy. We use these bags for garden produce, seed gathering, garlic storage and as wash bags to put delicates in the washing machine. They're great.

Excellent bags for grocery store shopping! On every trip to the Giant, I give away 2-3 of these to other shoppers in the fruit and vegetable aisles, encouraging them to use these mesh bags instead of plastic ones - to help prevent further expansion of discarded plastics in our oceans!!Most people are very appreciative of them, and I point out that they can order more from Amazon!
