I have REALLY been impressed with this gold acrylic paint!
I have found out that not all gold coloured paints are made the same! This one has been worth it’s weight in gold literally! I’m an art student and I am studying and trying to recreate 5th century Tezhip Turkish/Ottoman art work. I needed a good gold paint to use in my work that doesn’t kill the bank balance and this has been BRILLIANT! I have learned there are so many shades of gold. This gold looks like 24 Ct gold, you can also dilute it slightly too without it affecting its coverage. The coverage is brilliant. This pot is a small/medium size pot and it won’t do large scale work but I only do small art pieces and it is going to last me well I think. I haven’t had to put more than 1 coat of paint on my work. I have yet yet tried to burnish it with agate or silk like you do when using proper 24 Ct gold leaf, so that’s my next step to see if I can get a deeper sheen but as acrylic is a polymer based paint I’m not sure if it will work? If it does then it will be outstanding! Basically I needed a good quality of gold paint as I am practicing Tizhip art and also illuminated calligraphy before committing my art to 24ct gold leaf and this works brilliantly. I would definitely buy this again and I would like to try this brand and see what their silver/bronze/rose gold (if they do it?) is like as rare Welsh gold looks like Rose Gold.

Great for letter illumination
This gouche is a lovely shade of gold, I have used it on letters that I have illuminated. It's just the right consistently so you don't have to mess around adding water. It covers very evenly and is easy to use. This gauche is good for beginners of illuminated lettering as it is much, much cheaper than real gold flake. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, deep, rich Gold colour.
I used it on some detailed moldings on Architraves, it looks superb but the gold needs to be lacquered because it rubs off quite easily.

First impressions fabulous
Only just received and have only had time to swatch (medium quality watercolour paper) but on first impressions great product. Intend to use primarily for highlights/splattering on watercolour projects and product appears to be a deep opaque metallic even when watered down a little. At this price (?7£ for 50mLs) I think it is amazing value for money compared to watercolour metallics (I have quite a few brands of watercolour metallic products in my stash and they are amazing but expensive if you want watercolour products that provide good coverage). I will update review if on routine usage they are not as good for my purposes as they appear to be on initial testing.

Lovely colour of gold.
A lovely, rich gold. Much more economical than using my usual tubes of gold gouache paint. Will definitely be buying this again.

My Favourite Gold 💛
A little goes a long way. This is something I keep reordering because it’s beautiful and makes everything look really expensive.
