Axel Vervoordt: Portraits of Interiors

Each page is stunning, a walk through the unique and irreplaceable vision that draws people like myself in from all over the world. I will cherish and pass on this inspiring work to friends because you simply can’t understand the vision and family without diving into the details presented in this book. Unless you are lucky enough to meet them! :) and even then this book serves as an inspirational reminder and motivator.

If you own or have seen previous Vervoordt books, You will find few new surprises here... with a couple of exceptions. Although the quality of photography is fine, the paper they're printed on is not, (absorbing/obliterating details in dark areas.) I would NOT call this a 'must-have' book. Others more deserving of purchase. -- jc

the photography is exceptional.

I bought this book after hearing so much praise about the designer without ever having seen his work; however, I'm very much a minimalist, so I assumed it would be my speed.I have one word to say for this designer (based on these photos): brown . Almost every residence seems to be under a layer of yellowing varnish...almost every room is brown or a variation thereof; nothing looks particularly inviting or light--which is what I appreciate in minimalism. Perhaps it's the fault of the photographet...but I doubt it.

O trabalho do Axel Vervoordt é, de fato, muito inspirador. As imagens contidas neste livro foram muito bem escolhidas e nos fazem sentir a atmosfera de cada cada ambiente ali retratado. Estou muito satisfeito com esta aquisição.
