Great Product! Read review before use for best results.
Painted a iron flower pot with Modern Masters Oxidizing Copper Paint & Green Patina Solution. You can read my paint review in the MM Oxidizing Copper Paint.Applying the Green Patina/ Oxidizing solution: Using the Green Patina Aging Solution (Blue-green in color), apply "while paint is still wet". Not dripping wet, but tacky which may only be a few minutes in dry conditons. Apply with brush or sponge. I started with sponge, but quickly moved to brush. I poured the Patina Ageing solution into a small pale and brushed from their. It has the consistancy of water so pick up any runs with a dry brush or you will see green streaks down your surface. You will not see the oxidation for 20 minutes and in full for hours after appllication. The Patina oxidizing solution delutes as you use it so you can't carefully control the Patina/oxidizing effect like you can the paint. You may end up reapplying the Patina solution So I ended up painting and oxidizing one flower pot at a time. (Picture 1).Note: YOU CAN'T CONTROL THE PATINA SOLUTION - BUT YOU CAN CONTROL THE PAINT.Paint Touch Up: The tough customer (my wife), wanted a "turning copper look" with some copper color and some green patina oxidation. I purchased the MM Rust Patina to sponge in this effect only to find out that it only works with the MM Oxidizing Iron Paint not the Oxidizing Copper Paint that I was using. I figured out the only way to achive this look is to let the surface oxidize and dry for a day or two. Then, come back and lightly brush some of the Modern Masters Copper Paint back over some of the high spots on the relief of the flower pots. I have to admit, it looks amazing! She did not want the sealer placed on to keep an authenic rough look to the surface without any satin finish. The issue there is that it could continue to oxidize more green in the future. If so, I will only take me a few minutes to likely brush some more copper paint back on. It's been 5 months an so far it looks the same as the day I painted them.(Pictures 2 & 3).My only criticisim is that they need to make the products available in a quart size as the gallon is expensive and way more material that most people will need for a project and the bottle is too small. However, this excess primer can serve as a good general metal primer for other projects and the paint I will use for re-touch up as further oxidation occurs over time. You now know a lot more than I did when I started with this product. Have fun with it!

Hackable with caution!!!!
Alright, due to my lack of attention to detail I bought the wrong kind of paint to go with this item. Twice. Here is the link to the correct paint that this reacts with https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0009JNERS/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1So I bought this because I love the look of copper patina and I recently bought a motorcycle. I replaced all the parts I could with copper sheet metal but couldn't with the gas tank. So I figured I would give system a try. I like the rough look. After applying this as per instructions I noticed it was a pretty uniform color, a very pretty light green blue. But it wormy match the rest of the bike parts that were a more rough and dark blue of the real copper patina. So I decided AFTER the paint and patina activator was dry to try my normal patina mix. Ammonia and salt. So I moved to a WELL VENTILATED area. Outside. Ammonia is rough on the lungs. I don't know how our mixes with the patina activator, so please use caution. But IT WORKED!!! In very very happy with how it turned out for my uses. That being said I also did a test without the patina activator and it works but not nearly as well. TL;DR buy the right paint and it will be beautiful!!

Easy to use
After painting it with reactive bronze paint, I sprayed the patina on a plastic molded figurine also from Modern Masters and it turned out great. In places I didn't want any over spray, I used a Q-tip to apply the patina. You do have to apply the patina while the paint is still wet in order for it to work. If it's already dried, just apply a new coat of paint. The patina will darken a little anything you've painted, but not much. This also works on anything painted for outdoors too. Like flower pots and so on. I have more than enough left over for those spring projects.

Bottle seal & safety during shipping
Works great, but took off two stars because the solution is always outside the bottle to some degree. It's says toxic, so I take great issue with the leaking. They come in a perforated amazon envelope, and I order a lot of things on amazon. That said, I tore open the perforated strip, not knowing which item was inside, and it spattered me and my clothes with toxic chemicals. Despite this, I do really like the product and I will continue to purchase it for my needs, but for the love of god please use better sealed bottles when shipping!
