After looking at plenty of options, this one had everything I was looking for. Lightweight, large size, sand proof, water resistant, zippered pockets for sand anchoring or storage, and stakes if needed. No other that I saw had all those features. Multiple ways to anchor are very useful on windy days and you can fold it in half if you don't want to use the full size. This has been great on the beach and on grass. We've even used it as a playmat on top of a dirty hotel carpet for our daughter to crawl around on. Packs down easily into the attached bag - there are instructions how to best fold it but I can usually fold, roll and stuff it in the bag easily enough. Once in the bag, it is small and light enough that I keep it in my car at all times.On top of the great product, customer service was super helpful and responsive when I had a question about my order. You won't be disappointed!

I liked this sand blanket. It’s very light and covers enough space for one and maybe two. I can’t see getting four people on it but gave me plenty of room to lay down and stretch out. Bonus, also used it with beach chair clips on the side of our awning to block out the sun in the evening. Even more, was super simple to shake the sand out, fold up and get back into the provided carry bag. I thought that would be impossible but it wasn’t. I’d buy another one of these.

I was searching for a picnic blanket that wasn't too hot (fleece) or bulky or unable to be washed. I needed a mat that would fit our family of 8! This beach blanket is perfect. It's huge. Has six loops for stakes (included), an attached bag for restuffing, can be sprayed off with a hose or thrown in the wash. I hung to dry. It is made of ripstop nylon material (like a camping tent). To roll it up, I found it was best to lay it out, fold into the middle in 4ths or 3rds (just like you would repack a tent), then fold the length down towards the attached bag. It fits back into the bag fine, but you have to have the space to lay it out and fold as described. If you're in a hurry or don't have the space to fold, you'll be frustrated. The storage bag is smaller than a piece of paper and fits nicely under the front seat of the car or in a diaper bag without adding any noticeable weight. My crawling infant can be occupied for over a half hour with her toys on the mat without crawling off to ingest rocks. The mat is huge. No padding, though. So if you want a comfy fall or spring blanket, this has no warmth or padding. But it is perfect for our needs as a ground cover and water resistant is a plus. It is like the footprint to a tent, it will get soaked in a rain, but it will keep you dry if you know how to use it.

Ive bought 2 other beach blankets before this one. The first one was very light, which seemed ok for the beach but when the sun would beat down it would stick to your skin pretty bad. After getting ripped by some glass shards, i had to get a replacement which led to my 2nd beach blanket purchase. When i purchased my second one the appearance looked far superior and costed an extra ten bucks, however when it arrived it was the same story. It felt a bit too thin and had a bad hook system to hold it down, it did the job for a while but ultimately i wanted something better for the cost.Finally that leads me to this beach blanket.This beach blankets hits just about every mark. At times i wish it was a bit smaller but at other times i appreciate the size especially since it has better grounding systems to handle it. It has the 6 beach sand pockets which make a huge difference on their own, i use them everytime at the beach and use the stakes when i use this at the park, never had any problems at all. With the other 2 beach blankets also felt a bit too thin during rough winds and stick to skin but not with this one as far as ive been able to see. Its light weight and also fits in a very small bag. The small bag is great when you have to do the initial trek from your car to your beach spot, when your hands are busy holding other items, Its also very easy to fold once youre all done. This beach blanket was a bit cheaper then the other ones and includes the beach pockets which have to be hands down my favorite thing about this product. I recommend everybody try it if you need one

It was great for all to sit. It was enough room for 3 toddlers and 3 standard adults to share. Make sure to use the equipment to hold it down for those windy days at the beach. The material was lighter than expected, but durable. Easy to clean and the quality was that of a light tarp.

I purchased this for a trip to Hawaii. I needed beach and outdoor gear that was packable and space saving. This blanket packs up very small and worked great on both beach sand and park grass. I really like the little stakes, and the multiple pockets. The material is like a tent, which is a little different than what I'm used to for a beach blanket, but it worked surprisingly well as sand slides or shakes off of it easily, and water dries off of it really quickly. Also, I was worried about how hard it would be to get the blanket back into its small travel pouch after use, but it's surprisingly easily to fold up and fit back into its bag. I definitely recommend this travel beach or picnic blanket for the price.
