I left it to slow toast for exactly one hour and my grilled cheese came out looking like charcoal. Smoke detectors have been going off for nearly 50 minutes. How am I expected to eat this?Just kidding. This toaster doesn’t take an hour - It toasts perfectly grilled cheese in just minutes. It actually works great. One thing I would say is just try to keep anything you would put in your sandwich from touching the heating elements and remain within the provided baskets and it won’t start smoking on ya. I learned that back in toaster school 101. I found the slots to be adequate for toasting two regular sized slices of bread (about one half inch or one centimeter depending on your religion) with two slices of cheese in the middle. Tomorrow I’m going to go out on a limb and throw in a tomato in the middle. Wish me luck. I’ll get back to y’all with my results.
