My favorite Superman action figure, hands down
Been a long time Batman fan (since 1980's), but recent hero interpretations that have veered away from the their aspirational origins have given me a belated appreciation for classic, aspirational Superman, and now one of my favorite comic runs is John Byrne's Man of Steel. I've collected a number of Superman figures, but never have found one that really captures the Beacon of Hope his character was meant to evoke...until now. This figure is truly classic Superman. Oversized "S", brightly colored, he is the hopeful, welcoming boy scout who is ready to leap into action at an instant's notice. This figure is Great!

My #1 Favorite Superman
I am a huge collector of DC Comics Action figures and have many Supeman figures. This is by far the best and my #1, and that includes comparing him with the new DC Essentials Superman. He checks off every box of for a classic Superman character;- Great head and face sculpt, even down to the classic curl. Head articulation is good, mostly side-to side with a little tilt up and down.-The body is highly detailed, even down to an Adams apple. He sports his classic upper body V-shape torso and shiny boots.-The colors are perfect, not too dark like some of the other Superman figures, and not to light.-Has the classic S in yellow on the cape, unlike the DC Essentials figure.-The cape is the perfect long length coming down to the calf, and it is wide and full. No crunched up cape here.-Articulation is like so many older DC figures, but you can get him into many good poses.-Comes with peg holes in the soles and a stand...unlike the DC Essentials figure, sigh.- Great height that works with many of the older DC 6.5" to 7" figures.Negatives;- No ankle articulation for those pointed feet flight poses.-Wish they would have sculpted his mouth into a different expression, but the current sculpt is good. Now that DC has brought back Superman's trunks with the 2000 issue, this figure could work for a modern DC collection in the Rebirth series. There are several negatives with the newly released DC Essentials Superman figure, so this figure would make a great alternative, highly recommend.

The cape came off...
We purchased this toy for our son's 5th birthday. When his little sister tugged the cape to grab the toy from him, the cape came off. It's not a good toy for rough play. It's better for collectors. Without Superman's cape, he's just not the same character!
